I think it should be noted that while this seems to imply a direct correlation there are also several factors that make a guy with money more appealing. Money pays for a lot of things not the least of which are education and, well, grooming.

I think it would be beneficial to have distinct words for things like coerced sex or for lack of a better term, copulating while under the influence. The minimum definition for "Rape" should be that both people were aware that one of them was trying to stop sexual activity. By some of these definitions not even one of the parties has to be aware. While these other types of not fully consensual sex can be damaging they are simply not the same. It's akin to relating defaulting on a loan to mugging…

One of the biggest problems is that we can't tell how many convictions were indeed false and how many dismissals were in fact rapes. The Statistic that intuitively sounds the most ridiculous is that 1 in 4 women have been raped.
