Unfortunately this is true. My buddy got custody of his kids during divorce because his wife was a heroine addict and going to prison for assault among other things. 4 years later she gets out, takes him to court right away and gets custody AND child support before she even has a job, car, or home. This is his side of the story, and I don't know how factual it is, bit certainly believable based on other cases I've seen

That statistic is specifically in regards to average pay/hours worked for married adults with children over 35. Whereas the average male hours a week is like 49 vs the female 30ish, but because that group has the highest differential towards men that's the statistic feminism chose to go with. They certainly weren't gonna go with the under 35 single without children where females earn more money than men per hour despite men working significantly more hours
