I think your deep in the Friend Zone with this one and there’s no getting out. I would focus on another one. I have several female friends however they are either: 1) 100% platonic, no sexual interest or 2) Someone I have already slept with. After a certain point things just start rolling and usually lead to sex (unless something comes up). It’s even easier when it’s someone you’ve slept with before. Your overthinking it. Tell your gonna be doing X on Y day, ask her if she wants to join you. Go regardless. Even If she can’t make it still go play pool, worst case you have fun and get better at it. His idea of putting women into three categories (Receptive, Neutral, and Non-receptive) seems brilliant. Not sure why I never thought of it. But he's right, a woman is either into you or not. Some will be neutral but most women either think of you as "Friend" material or lover material pretty soon.
