Agree. I know my worth. I know the hard work and dedication I’ve put in over the years and the intentions and ambition I have for my future self. I don’t need a woman to coddle me but like anyone, I want to be around someone who values and appreciates those things about me, not someone who minimizes and undermines them. It’s not the validation I’m in search of, it’s the respect. There is a difference between the two. My own hero is my future self. That’s who I look up to. Yes it’s molded by impr…

Basically, being humble to show you’re doing what you do for yourself and not for anyone else’s approval.

I’m more than prepared for the blowback. It’s my last effort. It’s probably not going to workout, but I like to leave things better than I found them (people, places, things) so if I can give her a little direction, then I would like to.

I’m not asking for a shortcut. I’m asking the ladies of red pill how they found not only the sub so that I can gain a little insight.

I got that. I’ve been doing that but I’m exhausted. Something like an epiphany moment would be nice to insight rather than incremental, baby steps. The question was for the ladies, how did they discover RPW? Was it after searching for certain ways to improve their relationships? Or was it recommended by someone, anyone.

Better role model/reference for relationship dynamics. I had the chance of spending the weekend with her and her parents and realized why we have the friction we experience. Their relationship is lopsided and her mother calls the shots. My gf is somewhere between the way she saw her parents interact and how a rp dynamic would be. Regardless of whether or not her and I continue after our lease is up (I already know my mistake), it would be nice to at least have her going in the right direction. M…

“Self-improvement is masturbation. Now, self-destruction…” You can attempt to “improve” all you want by reading theory and making baby steps with regards to applying principles. None of this will stick until you destroy your current self. I can get deep into philosophies and religion about death and rebirth (metaphorically, for you fundamentalist nut-jobs out there and it will all lead to the same place. TRP isn’t about adding to who you are, it’s about becoming a new version of you. You must Le…

I’ve done this myself twice and both times were successful. It may be obvious, but in case it isn’t...make sure she is interested in that kind of stuff before lol

In my own experience, love exists in different forms and “unconditional love” if irrespective of romantic love. Girls I’ve dated that I had a good connection with but lost the romantic type of love and moved on, I still deeply care about. I love most people, just as i love my friends and family, but that I consider unconditional. I venture to say that nobody loves anybody unconditionally across the board. If I get support from a girl and am attracted to them physically, I won’t even look at othe…

The most recent Jordan Peterson podcast was gold in terms of RP outlook. Hypergamy, being a man and taking responsibility for yourself and not spreading blame are major talking points.

I’ve had this conversation with many people (mostly the environment portion though I wholeheartedly agree with the first part). It’s in corporate’s best interests to get people addicted to what they’re selling. Let’s sell people power chairs instead of a dietary intervention and physical therapy. We make money, the person exerts less and remains in their comfort zone. Marketing is a wretched bitch but if you understand how she works, you reduce your handicap. Even realizing why cities are built …

Just to add to this, try watching standup routines. They’re masters of turning a literal walk in the park into an epic tale. When I first started my own social-interaction overhaul (~8 years ago), I binged on standup and “epic” commencement speeches and motivational talks in general. Nothing that those people say is new, but it sure sounds exciting.

I’ve always thought it funny when friends or acquaintances would tell me how their gf won’t swallow or try anything new. Every girl I’ve ever been with told me they didn’t like swallowing and swore off anal or anything like that. Well, every girl I’ve had sex with more than a few times has done both. It’s not the girl, it’s the guy. Be a man in bed and lead. Fuck her good and she’ll follow.

Choose yourself was a good read. He has a lot on his blog (like "The Simple Daily Practice and How it Saved my Life") and in medium articles he's written. He's battled depression, lost more money than most of us will ever make (multiple times) and writes with a vulnerability I haven't seen in many other writers.

This is an excellent post. It reminds me of James Altucher...and I resonate with both his writing and what you wrote here. When you stray away from what you know works, usually when things are going well, that's when disaster hits. Meditate, eat good, keep fit, stay social, keep challenging yourself. I went through something similar in 2013-2014 and it took me nearly 3 years to get out of it. I used the same basic ideas that you did. Stoicism helps A LOT. Putting into action the little things on…

Cali reggae (Dirty Heads, etc.), reggae, alternative... Most music outside of the pop and super freaky realms have lyrics about life. Simple, chill, relaxing, introspective type stuff. Classical music and jazz are good too, classical was written in a way that resonates with people through the sound and vibration and that's why it is so timeless. Whatever let's you be in the moment, in my opinion, is good.

I've already made a habit of doing all of these before even finding this sub. Not saying that to brag but because the glue that ties all of this together is...action! With philosophy, I began reading eastern variations 6 or 7 years ago. But, it was only reading. I understood on a intellectual level but the mental and spiritual understanding didn't come until I actually started living it. Meditating has always helped me, but you don't truly get the benefits until you started applying that mindful…

Tao of Pooh is a book I read a few times per year. Each time I extract a different type of value from it based on what's going on in my life. Loved the post!

This would have been my exact response. Trying hard to find that group of friends that feels like a family.

Tell a joke that flops? Well, that joke was terrible. Encounter a long silence or say something super awkward? I will just call it out. Well that was awkward Something simple like that reinforces that having awkward moments in conversation really are no big deal. Once you get used to weathering those little storms, you will come to realize they aren't as negative as you thought. Then you'll stop trying so hard to avoid them. Trying so hard to avoid awkwardness, silence, sounding stupid...all of …

Stop Planning and Start Listening I took an improv class a couple of months back and we did an eye-opening exercise. We stood around in a circle and had to say words. In the first round, we were given a topic and had to say one word that hasn't been said before. In the second round, we were given no topic rather, we had to say the first word that came to mind after hearing the person before us. Guess which one went smoother? Hint: It was the second round. Why though? When we had to focus on a sp…

As far as kissing on the first date goes, I really don't like to wait til the end. If there's an opportunity during the date, take it. It breaks the ice sooner and allows you to move a little further without the awkward tension arising from both wanting to kiss without going for it. IMO waiting til after the date is almost like a form of payment. You two had fun, now you get to kiss her. A better route, for me, is to kiss her when you guys are laughing together or get caught in that standoff sta…

I have to agree with this. You can make your walk to work sound as captivating as though you were walking through the amazon rain forest. You can tell someone a story about hiking through the backcountry of British Columbia and put them to sleep. Have you ever had someone tell you about their job, one they're not excited about or proud to be a part of? How about their co-worker with the exact same position who loves that shit? Which story is more enticing? It's all about presentation. Why do whi…

This was a good little read. I used to go out alone before I got all "wifed up" a while back. I'm newly single and am having a hard time getting back into the rhythm of meeting cute girls on a regular basis again. Reading this reminded me of how much fun I had and how blown away friends were when I went out alone. (I didn't do it to impress them) I will make it a point to go out this weekend at least one night by myself to get a feel for it again. I can second the part about it being super awkwa…
