I have no problem with Victoria's secret. I get that a lot of men feel personally victimized by the Gillette commercial. As a man, I too would feel personally victimized if I was: A) One of the of few men who actually are a huge asshole, and who engage in really shitty, toxic behavior. B) A man who was completely ignorant or complicit to the fact that these few men exist, that these few men are more common than we probably realize, and that these few men make life a whole lot shittier for women …

I don't know the first thing about crypto investing so I don't know if you're being sarcastic, so I'll assume you're not. So my answer is Yes. Why are men drawn to higher risk? If these jobs are very male-dominated, then maybe they would benefit from having some women in the role. At the very least, it would be good to interview some women as long as they are qualified.

You have to think about the contexts involved, and what is at stake when someone (man, woman, or otherwise) claims they were sexually assaulted. If someone comes to you, saying they were raped, you have to work under the assumption that they are probably telling the truth. When a fire station gets an alarm, they have to assume that it's not a false alarm, even though there are over twice as many false alarms as fires. It depends on the job I suppose, but I think it would be a little alarming in many roles if you only had applicants from one gender. It would make me think that maybe there is a bias or barrier somewhere in the application process or in the company's overall image that is preventing and/or not attracting people of one gender. That is definitely something of concern, in my opinion anyway.

Women are sexually assaulted more than men are. Women are killed by their male partners more than men are killed by their female partners. That's the takeaway from these statistics. If I said those first two sentences, you would say "Where is the proof?". When proof is provided, you bend over backwards to show why the proof is wrong. I am all for good quality data, but you seem to be trying to prove that the problem is not a problem.

Did we read the same article? This article talks about how enforcing gendered societal norms can be a bad thing. It doesnt say that toxic masculinity doesnt exist. Quite the opposite in fact. It says that masculinity itself is not toxic, but the way we express it and enforce it can be.

I don't know, I don't really have a problem with it. It's not a historical film; It's fantasy. There's dragons and zombies and magic and shit. All of the women get their power from their names, titles, marriages, or because they have fucking dragons. The only character that gets her power from actual physical strength is Brienne, but she is a freak of nature.
