What can be so bad about disclosing how you feel towards a person? Problem is, Freud taught us that humans don't always behave in a rational manner, and our subconscious has incredible powers over our behavior. In essence, you can't try to appeal to her rationally, but you have to appeal to her subconscious, or emotions, and that's where being totally honest about your feelings is not the best thing to do.
