Ha!!! It's funny, but it is also very true. Thank you for your support, it's nice to have found a community with like-minded people. :)

Not overweight or chubby whatsoever. Could "tone up" probably a bit, though.

Ah, yes when I say "alpha widowed" that is what I meant - I've been able to be casual with men of higher SMV/RMV but unable to get them to commit. I do, however, think that you are correct in that something in my profile is off-putting to them (maybe more flattering pictures would help?) I will look into tech meetups and other organizations - that is a fantastic idea. Thank you!

I think you hit the nail on the head with lacking confidence and direction. Being realistic, I think in terms of SMV I am slightly above average - a 6, perhaps a 7 on a good day - but my demeanor is not at all approachable (I have NEVER made eye contact with a man in a public setting). I will focus on the confidence and see if I have better luck. Thank you!

Thank you! Reading through your post history, I really admire the efforts that you took to meet your husband. Classes and volunteering are actually a really great idea. Additionally, I'm not sure I've EVER smiled and made eye contact with a guy! (What a weird thing to realize...) I feel like I've been conditioned to do the opposite - not sure whether by family or society (or both) but it would probably help me to seem more approachable. :)

You make a very good point. I can immediately think of recent examples where I have been guilty of taking the "easy" route of the examples you mentioned. This is something I will need to continue to work on.

Thank you, this is very helpful! Particularly the first point - I could definitely improve my active listening.

Love hearing this!! I am also late 20s and fairly new to this sub - like you, I was very career-oriented in my 20s. I'm currently in "cocoon mode" and working on improve SMV and RMV for the next 6 weeks. However, after this 6 weeks, I want to proactively start meeting high-value men and (hopefully) dating them. Can I ask you how you met your current SO/other high-quality men? I don't seem to run into them on a daily basis, unfortunately. :-/

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
