One day work push ups and sit ups, the other day go for a jog/run. its what we did. When things get stale change it up, there are all kinds of things you can do. Like for instance do a set of "pyramids" start with 25 push ups / sit ups and work your sets all the way down to 1, so do sets of 25, 24, 23, 22.....down to one and back up again.
