What’s interesting here is the abundance of women saying he was ‘sweet’ and ‘did everything right’, which I’m afraid is another reason not to take dating advice from the people you want to date. This guy invested way too much effort and probably came across as needy as fuck, so when the girl saw an ‘out’ by dragging along a friendly stranger she had to do it.
