Yeah. Thinking of getting into data analytics in that sense. Because plain digital marketing (which is what I've been working with) has been insufferable.

And what would that be for example? Any suggestions?

This literally happened to me a while ago. A girl was fake crying - in order to manipulate my superior - into offloading her work role onto me. My boss didn't have the backbone to confront her (or he was being smart) - but either way - it was abuse by proxy and a really crazy way of basically allowing a form of emotional abuse to take place. How would the HR report look? What would be the "reason"? Workplace harassment?

female political games Will you please elaborate on this a bit? What exactly are female political games?

Yeah, I totally get that. This is what makes me want to stop working with females to be honest. They're just too vicious and cunning. I never thought they could be so irrational.

sobbing Haha I was actually considering this! But as a man the last thing I want to do is cry in the workplace! I'm probably going to partly switch careers due to this. I just can't see myself work in a predominantly female industry for the rest of my career. I'm sure I could get a lot better at dealing with them, but I think I would prefer with mostly males so there's no surprises like this.

That's what I was thinking. Besides, this stuff is next to impossible to prove. Letting her know I won't fall for it - yet literally doing exactly as she pleases probably doesn't teach her a lesson.

Honestly, looking back, I made a lot of mistakes as I was quite young and come from a different background than most people I was working with. Objectively speaking, I wasn't really dressing the part while meeting potential prospects (yeah, I was that young & stupid and not really ready for corporate life). I didn't really fit into the culture very well. I was managed out before this colleague attempted this.

Yeah, I'm looking to possibly move away from marketing due to this. Too many women. Not enough productivity. Too much politics.

In my case I was being managed out from the company and they had taken all of my responsibilities away from me so I literally couldn't use that as an argument. This was a long time ago.

I think I had 1 colleague I could trust, but she wasn't especially assertive. The rest were a pack of backstabbing hyenas, LOL. Never working with women ever again!

This is in a corporate setting. We're in a team. In a Scandinavian country. I was looking for some more concrete advice for the future.

Hahaha, that's so true lmao Although OP has been deleted, I think she needs to learn how to attract men with their feelings and not by looks. No offense, but that's what made all the difference for me personally :) Guys always go for physical traits, for sure, but learning how to make men really fall in love with you will probably prove to be invaluable. Especially in your case. if you need a good guide on how to actually captivate a man with more than just your looks to make him fall deeply in …

Lol, it's never about the sex. My BF tells me he used to pump & dump girls just for the heck of it. No feelings involved. I think girls need to learn how to attract men with their feelings and not by looks. No offense, but that's what made all the difference for some of my friends of the opposite gender :) Guys always go for physical traits, for sure, but learning how to make men really fall in love with you will probably prove to be invaluable. Especially if your problem is getting pumped and d…

This is literally the story of my life. I used to be so scared of escalating physically. Always thought even the smallest of physical flirting meant rape. So many lost opportunities over this... However, I've been doing really well for the past years so it's all good by now :)

I wish somebody taught me this earlier. I never had any problems chatting up girls and charming them, but as soon as we were alone I never made any moves. As a man, remember it's equally as important to physically escalate the sitatuion as it is controlling it!
