Hi OP First things first, your feelings are valid. I am sure you know this, but I am still stating it and reinforcing it, because too many men doubt themselves, get gaslighted, and continue to put up with abuse because we are taught to put ourselves last. So, once again, you are 100%, absolutely right to feel the way you feel, and if anything, you probably have downplayed and tolerated a lot which your spouse wouldn't have. This is only a message of support. I will not presume to tell you to lea…

Women are raised in a way where it is okay to seek help and express their problems to the point they feel entitled to support. In contrast, men are raised to suck it up, so they suffer in silence because they know no one is listening, and if they seek help, that's a sign of weakness. Many men just tell themselves "it's not so bad" and get on with it.

All the power to you for having the views you do. Am just trying to show the real face of feminism. Actions speak louder than words. Feminist activity shows feminism is not about "egalitarianism" or "equality"

Am sure you mean well... but I am going to quote Karen Straughn here: ‐-------------‐--------------- "So what you're saying is that you, a commenter using a username on an internet forum are the true feminist, and the feminists actually responsible for changing the laws, writing the academic theory, teaching the courses, influencing the public policies, and the massive, well-funded feminist organizations with thousands and thousands of members all of whom call themselves feminists... they are no…

At a very fundamental level, every transaction is a trade-off, where you give up a right, in exchange for something that you need. Money is "right-to-value" and we trade that for food, clothing etc which in a way are our responsibilities. The same applies to every aspect of life, relationships etc, compromise on rights, fulfill responsibilities. Even if we give women all the rights in the world, make the environment conducive for them to work and commute "safely", waive a magic wand and remove a…

What... men spending money on themselves... is that a thing? Men around me, myself included, always prioritise spending money on family (my wife works and is financially independent, supports me), saving for my child's future, saving for retirement, and then if anything is left can one think about it. Where are those men who spend on themselves.. that's not my experience.. Infact, the fact that men prioritise their families when it comes to spending is one of the things that goes unnoticed and u…

The burden of proof is on the feminists since they assert the existence of a patriarchy. They typically wrongly argue the existence of a patriarchy by highlighting that "men" occupy positions of power (politics/corporate etc) The error that needs to be highlighted in this type of argument is : Gender is the second broadest possible categorization after species. They might as well say "humans" have all the power (assuming power can be defined the way feminists define it) and be technically correc…

"The most ridiculous one has to be Dva Holma. Basically it’s set in a world where men and women now live segregated. The women’s territory is thriving with futuristic technology, luxury, and it’s basically a full-blown utopia. The men’s territory meanwhile is a slum that’s pretty much barely in piece. Yeah right, considering men are the ones who invented and built the majority of humanity’s innovations, I’d love to see this happen." Reminds me of this one stupid post on TwoX where someone once s…

The best chess players have been men for the same reason that the best race-car drivers, carpenters, etc tend to be men.. I.e. the willingness and determination to give 100% to their craft for long periods of time. Men are best because they want to be the best, and make sacrifices to be the best. To be the best at anything requires extraordinary level of dedication and discipline and often strong family support which many women do provide.

Judith Polgar disagrees. While she faced sexism, she also states that women weren't willing to put in that much effort in becoming super GMs in chess and often, other female chess players tried to act like they were better than Judith Polgar because they could also "cook and bake"..

Mansplaining is one of the worst things men do to women without understanding there true implications. There are extensive well-known studies that prove this. However, the mainstream media continues to ignore and ridicule when women highlight these facts. Everytime a man condescendngly explains anything to a woman, there is a potent negative energy cloud created around the physical space where the mansplaining occurs. Medical visits to the doctor, gynae, ObGYN should be borne by the parents. All the more reason not to be a single parent. I can understand an arrangement where in case of a divorced couple, the father pays these costs, but this all depends upon the specific relationship dynamics (whether husband was or wasnt biological father etc); There can't be a one size fits all legislature around this.

Of late it has been terrible. I noticed this first in the Lost in Space series on Netflix, and then in a few others. Its great to have a female lead and some characters are so well done, Sarah Connor, Beatrix Kiddo, Mulan, Lara Croft, Salt, Star Light, every Game Of Thrones character, specially Breanne, Cersei and Yara Greyjoy, (not Dany). The trick in my view is not to have the gender as a defining trait.. and that's it. Edit: I think we can also have some really cool female villains / antagoni…

Dude.. am on your side. Trust me. Am just saying this goes both ways The Boss didn't say it, it's just that men never do it, and ultimately, the women end up doing it. "Btw when did all male employees get appreciated?" You know this is my biggest issue with the corporate world today. My wife works in the place where they have special programs for women development, mentoring etc. And I've been thinking, it's like male employees are just lost as the "general workforce". Unpopular opinion. Both genders have this. Every where I've worked, whenever we celebrate an employee's birthday, it is the women who are expected to cut and distribute the cake. Most ironic was a Women's Day Celebration in 2019, when the boss called in all employees, ladies were handed flowers and appreciated, a cake was cut, and then the women had to slice the cake and distribute to the 40+ team members 😉

It's as if they are approaching this from a position that only women can be disadvantaged and hence all efforts are required to remedy that; men being disadvantaged in any field has no consequence. It's as if Gender Gap is synonymous with Feminine Gap

Dude thanks to you for bringing this up !!!! Well I've read various reports, and am not particularly concerned that the methodology is presented after the main results. They are clear in disclosing that this report essentially only focuses on areas where women are "under-represented" (which is not the same as disadvantaged.. but feminism 🙄). I think they know most people won't dig deeper and the spin will continue.

I looked at the report further. It's propaganda. The way it is structured, Themyscira (women only mystical land) would have a score of 1.0, meaning women in Themyscira would be at parity with men 🙄 Lol

There are hundreds of millions of people and jobs. There are all sorts of gaps, gender gap, age gap, college-gap, race-gap. Doesn't mean there is discrimination. There is no such thing as equal-work and the workplace is generally more complicated than everyone getting same hourly wage. That's not how the world functions. By your logic, "Hoardes" of women must be pushing to become president and enter politics that's why feminists are pushing for more female leaders... but we all know that is not the case. Fact is that the world is a huge marketplace where salaries, hours, work etc is negotiated. The world isn't equitable, it is in equilibrium, and each individual strives to improve their position. There is no such thing as "equal work" so forget equal pay.

This is the wrong way to look at things. An abortion-ban doesn't mean that the government is forcing you to have a child. If that was the idea, the government would mandate regular unprotected sex, but as we all know that is not the case. This is great news. Somehow, Feminism tore up the basic family unit and steered the conversation away from what was good for the society, to a very misandrist-concept of female liberty. As a side-effect, men have started demanding the right to paper / financial abortion, which is logical. The sad part is that as a society we forget that sex comes with risks and parents have responsibilities towards the unborn child, who is in no way at fault, yet the victim of an abortion.

CEOs and Managers are paid bonuses based on profits, is it really unthinkable that they would try to reduce costs through every opportunity available, even if it means low-balling offers to women or minorities who they know will accept lower salaries? The market is brutal, and there are all sorts of people. Just because women on an overall basis m…

There will be a gap in whatever you look for a gap in. There would be wage gap between genders, between races, between town-ships and even within professions. There would be a wage gap between dentists and paediatricians etc. Just because there is a gap doesn't mean it's unfair. Gender is a very very broad distinction between two groups and thr gender pay gap is meaningless. The concept of "equal pay" for "equal work" is sound in principle but impossible in real life. No two people do the same w…

So climate-change is also a gender-issue now with women impacted more than men. Why.. they supposedly have to go fetch water in case of a drought. I think I should also become a writer. In almost all countries they do get these benefits. Militaries tend to operate under completely different system, with their own courts, police etc. Militaries are industries within themselves. I know what you are talking about but I don't agree that men should be paid just because they are more likely to get conscripted. Conscription occurs in times of emergency and distress, and until that occurs, there should be no compensation for the potential "conscriptees"
/r/MensRights03/03/22 06:35 AM

Military personnel are entitled to various benefits already. There is no need to pay "men" anything additional because they "may" get conscripted. In my country, as a commissioned officer, you are entitled to a house upon getting married, free education, healthcare, subsidised groceries etc. Basically, almost every need is taken care of. And this is Pakistan, we can't afford these things generally.

It's because of patriarchy and toxic masculinity. Colleges will hire more feminist faculty and introduce lesbian dance theory as a mandatory course to fix the low male success rate. Solved. Also, Hogwarts is real

I don't think there is a patriarchy. It is not patriarchy that forces men to repress feelings or go to war. War is inevitable, and has nothing to do with genders.

My advice would be to stay focused on your career, we don't go to work to make friends and you don't need the approval of the female staff. Your work ethic will speak for itself.

You have no idea what you are talking about. My society and my religion is irrelevant. You think Christian parents don't make sacrifices to get their kids the gift they wanted on Christmas? Or Hindu parents? Are you completely ignorant of the fact that poverty is a real thing, and that middle-class life isn't easy. Grow up.

"Do you have a dangerous job + go to war? Maybe you shouldn’t do those things. Me personally, I don’t fuck with people who try to guilt trip like that." Nobody is guilt tripping here. Men face more danger in life and that is a fact. "Again, you talk about having kids like it’s some burden they were forced into—like they didn’t even want to have kids or be married to each other, but they were forced to do that. That I would say is the greater dilemma here—like marriage and kids is a sacrifice you…

"thank men who sacrifice, but don't levy your burden onto other men or attempt to morally bludgeon them or shame them or whatever else into being disposable for the benefit of others" That's not what I am trying to do. I wrote "stronger sex" sarcastically. Women are called the "gentler sex" and are afforded all kinds of protection. I am saying we are raised in an environment where men have no choice but to be strong, which in itself is a huge burden; and on top of it, that goes unacknowledged

That's different from what the OP is saying. I loved my mom, the whole family did, and she passed away last year. She was a great woman and my father acknowledges that. But she was human. As a father, I've realised lately that mothers raise kids, and invariably kids get the impression that their father was not a good husband. I now respect my father a lot more thinking of all the sacrifices he also made for us whereas all this while, we only appreciated our Mom.

/r/MensRights04/02/22 11:14 AM

You would also have to demonstrate that "Feminism" is behind "Women's Mobility" to complete your argument. Again, all you have is correlation. Women's mobility is also due to overall technological advancement which created jobs, no.. safe jobs, indoor jobs. Overall economies have grown along with credit availability enabling growth of SMEs and businesses, again, driving up employment rates and creating jobs. Women's Mobility is not a result of Feminism, it is a result of overall advancement of h…

I find such "statistics" useless. Can anyone deny the following? "100% of rape victims are human. 100% of rape perpetrators are human. " Gender is the broadest possible segmentation of human beings. Clubbing people into gender groups is simplistic and achieves nothing.

So I saw this thread on TwoX about this broad complaining about how she and her husband agreed that her husband would get a vasectomy. She was cribbing that he finally got an appointment after 4 months of her repeatedly asking. I said specifically this: "Or maybe the poor guy didn't want to get it ... wow.. four months of asking repeatedly.. take a hint woman. Uh no trust me, many women are also blaming the girl and they suspect her of pre-planning this. You have no idea the kind of shit male and female journalists pull. Summary of the news broadcast. 4 policeman made a video of a private conversation between the victim Ayesha and her associate Rambo (who also features in her TikToks) and were reprimanded. As per Rambo, Ayesha wanted to demand PKR 500,000 from the arrested culprits in exchange for a pardon, and she also threatened Rambo to name his as amongst the culprits if he didn't cooperate. I think the authorities are taking action against the policemen who made the recording. Nothing surprises me here, as …

Sure. Will translate. Just to be clear, I am not saying she isn't blackmailing people. Sadly, people can be either incredibly generous and honest, but also extremely selfish. Since the whole incident was on video, people who were involved would be in trouble big time. This means she would have the opportunity to take money and say who is innocent and who isn't. It is fucked up. Truly.

I am from Pakistan. And this is an over simplification. She posts TikTok videos, dancing on famous duets and other videos, and she planned to visit a public park on independence day. The men there, mostly uneducated labor class men from very traditional backgrounds, went on an assault rampage and indeed groped and thre her around like a rag-doll for three hours before she escaped. Manspreading is not a real thing. Let's not make it real by needlessly justifying it. When in public transport, don't infringe upon others' space. Basically courtesy. Spoilers So I watched the movie yesterday, with a deep fear that Bond will be snowflakey and full of leftist-appeasement tropes. But it wasn't too bad. First off, Daniel Craig's Bond has had a continuing story line, and one where Bond has been shown as a realistic human being; Bond had been missing Vesper Lynd since Quantum of Solace and struggled with rage and mouring. So a sentimental Bond as shown in NTTD did not feel out of character or forced. And the action sequences were good.. in bits. B…

No. And frankly this is a very long and one-sided response. The tactic at hand here is to overwhelm with a long rant. Anyway.. here is what I think is worth responding to. "So... you’re saying male leaders literally created patriarchy and controlled the power distribution in society historically and also today. And it negatively affects not only women but also a lot of men? This is literally what I’ve been saying." Again, here the problem is that the General / Head of State is being reduced to h…

Ok. I'll start with one. "Unequal custody? Because women are expected to be the nurturers and primary care givers. They are expected to give up their future and ambitions to raise a child. This is a gender role placed on women by patriarchy. If men want equal custody, MRAs and feminists alike should be advocating for a 50/50 split of housework, childcare and career building" Women are expected to be the nurturers not because of patriarchy / misogyny. This isn't a simple gender issue and the comp…

This statement is wrong but it is very layered/complex. To cut the long story short, it seems whoever posed this question appears to argue that if misogyny /sexism is addressed then missandry will automatically get solved, along with men's issues. Even if it is granted that this is correct (which it is not), then the proposed solution of the questioner appears to be abolishing long-established (like decades / centuries old) genders roles and to bring about social engineering such that gender rol…
