I had the same issue and was also banned. I was worried about becoming a misogynist and felt that a variety of pro-female subs could help broaden my viewpoints. Then I was banned for basically just being male. When I asked the mods which of my top level comments were against their rules, I was told that it's not what I said but rather, who I am.

This is a terrible piece of evidence. Saying that women are terrible at deciding who to vote for isn't alone enough to say that they shouldn't vote. During election time, if you polled men who claimed to be democrats and asked them about Obama's stance of <staunchly republican opinion>, they will agree with it. If you asked republican men about Romney's stance of <staunchly liberal opinion>, they'll agree. It's not that women suck at having opinions, it's that people do.

The number of sets as an argument is a silly one to me. As an avid tennis fan, the reason women should be paid less isn't because they don't play for as many hours, it's because they're freaking unwatchable. Wimbledon and all professional sports are there for their entertainment purposes. Female players should be paid less not because of their level of work, but because their matches aren't as entertaining and they draw far smaller audiences.

I think it's important to not make this a male versus female battle. Because it's only indirectly a gender issue. You can't argue that women should be paid less than men, or you can but most people will assume that you're misogynistic and a bigot without listening to your points. Rather, it's much more difficult for even the most hardened of feminists to advocate that nursery workers of any gender should make as much as manual laborers of any gender without coming off sounding like a communist.

That's very interesting that male circumcision has been correlated with an inability to express emotions later in life. But that's a pretty tiny study and correlation is not causation. And you're right. My comment was flawed in that it does decrease male pleasure (extrapolating from the decrease in sensitivity). I didn't know that, and you are correct. And yet . . . Male circumcision is not comparable to female circumcision.

This is extremely inaccurate medically. Female circumcision involves removal of the clitoris and other pleasurable aspects of the genitals. The reason is usually to eliminate sex drive and make the girl more demure. Male circumcision does not impinge sex drive, function, or pleasure. source: medical school
