That, however, is frowned upon.

I have no respect for anyone who hangs out in MensRights regardless of how much respect they profess to have for me. I browse around pretty much every subreddit. You apparently ascribe some set of qualities to me based solely on the fact that I'm reading a comment thread in /r/MensRights. Hey, you were reading the same thread I was. Sorry that I dared speak to you on what you find to be heretical ground (all-those-who-tread-on-it-be-without-respect), but you could have at least done me the court…

You're one of my favorite redditors; I've got a lot of respect for you. But would you seriously be making the argument that "verbally coerced sex (i.e., partner insisted on or used threats to obtain oral, anal, or vaginal sex)" doesn't qualify as rape in any other subreddit?

It happens. When I was a teenager, a donut shop owner once told me that he wasn't looking to hire a male, because "If you're tired and grouchy in the morning, wouldn't you rather talk to a pretty girl while you get your coffee?" He didn't accept my answer that I would just want my coffee. Also, I once worked for a temp agency that would only send women to work in an office and men to work menial labor (was told this directly when asking about a listed clerical position). So although I could type…

I took "them" to mean the mother, not the children, and "hurt" as in the standard emotional hurt that causes/stems from a breakup. If she intended for that sentence to mean that the father was physically abusive to the children, then there wouldn't be any need to lie about abuse; she could just tell the court the truth.

Use the "\" key. Put one before each asterisk to negate it. \*\*YOU\*\* becomes **YOU**

Is that the world you'd like to live in? If things are going to get to that point, I'd rather we all run out into the streets with bats and bricks for a good long round of last-man-standing. Violence is more entertaining than courtroom drama, and the justice system loses it's main benefit when the innocent are as likely as the guilty to end killed or maimed.

"Black is Right!" doesn't even rhyme.

I'm assuming your comment was rooted in snark. If this law was threatening to put women in jail for refusing to have sex with their husband, I'd feel equally disgusted. Edit: And to be completely clear, even if this law is intended to apply to both sexes equally, I repeat: I find the idea of a law that can prosecute someone for not having sex with their spouse unconscionable.

Imagine the uproar if this law applied equally to women and their husbands.

I think you must mean "presumably".

Well, if you want to be technical, this experience hasn't killed her.

Is there a word that means "incredibly stupid, oblivious and lost in ones own world"? I'm going with "Lolol". I fucking hate that word.

I'd agree with the comments she made about makeup. People get suckered into thinking they "need" all sorts of products, male and female.

I'm interested to see the original comment in context.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
