You know it's funny, Orwell was a socialist, and most of his works were about the evils of capitalism, but since two books were about totalitarianism, he is hailed as some great anti-communist. It's odd.

Your story and this story are very different. Your story didn't have anyone with misled vigilante justice based on gender stereotypes. Yours was simply about a domestic violence case that got out of hand. If your story had something about, say, a guy who saw the accident and went to go beat up the guy, than it'd be relevant.

Cool. How is that relevant?

I just like communisation. You guys want to make it about the MRM? Awesome. Hides because communists aren't well like around these parts

I'm a fan of communism.

Communist. Not Stalinist or Maoist, mind you, Anarcho-Communist. I'm in a very small minority, I know.

I guarantee you she is not a Marxist, but a liberal. For some reason I highly doubt she even knows half of what marxism is about. A good test to separate Marxists from Liberals: Should we have Gun Control? Should the government control women's and other minorities opportunities? What is communism? A Marxist would say, respectively, 1: No; 2: No, there is no government in communism; 3: Where the means of production are owned by the proletariat either directly or by proxy, and capitalism is abolis…

OH BELIEVE ME, as someone pretty involved with the QUILTBAG community, I love transfolk, and consider myself to be somewhat genderqueer, but primarily I identify as male. And it is unlikely the law will acknowledge too many Gender minorities in the near future, and what I mostly care about is legal equality. And I will look that up.

I suppose. I want feminism to evolve into what it should be, but obviously, feminism has turned into a real-life RadFem circlejerk. I guess I'll stop using the term. Gender Egalitarian it is.

In many states Abortion is still illegal, and you all have seen the shitstorm about birth control. Is it bad? Yes. Maybe not the most pressing issue currently, but important. There are douchebags out there. They don't know what rape is. They think it's okay to do things they can't. They don't know it. We should raise education on the matter. HOWEVER! This does not mean I believe in female-priority in rape cases. I am very much against it. But every stereotype is based of a grain of truth. These …

I guess. But is it really right to just let the word "feminist" be demonized so totally because of the delusion of it's members? Actually, now that I say it, maybe. So I suppose I'm an equalist. But that's what feminism should be! IT's frustrating to say the least, but I don't agree that the term should be so demonized. At least use RadFem.

Hmmm, maybe. So what should I call it then? Female Rights Activist?

It seems Feminists and Radical Feminists have become one in most sense of the word as far as most of you are concerned. RADICAL feminists believe in female superiority, feminists like me believe in equal rights and equal responsibility.

Yeah, it seems very odd. It's like it's impossible that our society is screwing us both over.

True enough. I never said I like this neo-feminist movement, but the ideals seem agreeable enough.

Personally, I'm a fan of androgyny myself, perhaps that comes with the queer territory. On-topic, most feminists seem to be primarily concerned with legal issues as well, namely abortion, birth-control, etc., etc. And some, (not most, mind you), feminists are also vocal about male rape. ALthough many others don't recognize it's existence. Has feminism gone off the deep end? Maybe. But I like it for what is should be.

Ok... nice analogy, and I get that many feminists take it too far, (way too far), but do you actually have a problem with 'true' feminism? Women deserving equal rights and representation? And comparing feminism to religion and MR to science is a bit unfair, don't you think?

RobotAnna's reply was oddly satisfying. That's not what I was referring to. I was talking about materialdesigner, teefs, and pazzazz being blatant bigots about much more than just men.
/r/MensRights17/04/12 11:29 PM

You read the wrong parts obviously, I was referring to the parts where Teefs said Homophobia was a "Problem with men as a whole", when I said it was an issue for both genders, and when pazzazz said "men shouldn't have a say here, period"

Wrong response. The author is referring to people who try to change her, or don't accept her, or continue to bother her. If a man hits on them, is told they are a lesbian, apologizes and leaves, I doubt they would have a problem.

I am too. Gay-leaning at that. The MRM is more connected to Gay Adoption/Marriage than most figure. The Social Conservatives often say that the main reason gay couples shouldn't adopt, ESPECIALLY male-male couples, is that children need a mother and a father. These same conservatives also push for by default mother-custody in case of divorce, just look at what Gingrich has been saying on the matter! Non-heterosexual MRA's, unite!
