What's most surprising is that GC is also specifically hating on trans people. Now I know that generalizing men is not frowned upon in society as much, but hating on trans people is usually not really a recipe for success (except you address specific people, but that applies to everything). Which makes me indeed a little bit suspicious about the people deciding which sub to quarantine.

To answer your question: No, except for self-defense or helping someone in a self-defense situation. Mostly it's understandable from a psychological POV, but it's never the optimal solution. This is a very difficult, but probably quite common situation, without a good solution. Judging from your post, it's probably best for you to talk over it with the husband. Obviously don't bring up divorce immediately, but you need to tell him that his relationship needs some kind of fix to prevent it going …

I don't know how American culture is, but here literally no one cares what you were to work if you don't have visual customer contact. I don't think I've seen anyone in a suit at my office, except there are customers around (but then only the people that interact with those customers).

I was bullied at school for a relatively short period of time, while it happened it caused quite some pain. Later, after it ended, it took a short while to heal, but eventually it healed up completely, I don't feel like it affected my life at all. But I still wouldn't say to someone, go ahead and bully your class mates, they'll likely not care about it later anyway. Now change bullying to circumcision in my story. And also consider that I don't know how my life would have been, if it didn't happ…

Ok, I see. Poland has a similar thing, but you need to go to a military doctor to determine if you are even suitable. It's also only for men and women who study or work in a medicine related field. From what I've heard there were plans to change it, but Poland got a right-wing conservative government now, so probably nothing is going to change. Luckily it's only mandatory for male citizens who live in Poland or polish is their only citizenship. I fulfill neither of the two requirements. The Neth…

Can someone explain what that is to our fellow non-US-people?

We do. That's why irreversible procedures, like surgery are only performed on adults. The hormone therapy you are mentioning is most likely a puberty blocker because gender-affirming hormones are prescribed from the age of 16 (in some cases 14). Puberty blockers act like puberty delayers and have no side effects if the person decides to keep their gender assigned at birth, they just go through puberty a bit later than usual. Due to the very low risk of side effects, the benefits outweigh the dis…
