Thanks man. This was actually my first tinder date since I broke up so I'm a still trying to build up my experience. So far it's been a little sparse for me and I guess I didn't want to ruin the one date I managed to get but it's better to just not care

I think there's something to be said for identifying people who are there to meet new people, and people who just want to stay with inside their circle.

Find someone with the same problem as you.

Met her and the date went well actually.

That's what has been happening to me so far.

Through tinder but I got her number after and we texted a little through it.

We didn't really message a lot. Went back and forth a little when we first matched, I asked her out, we talked logistics and when we agreed on a time and place it ended there. I'm not the kind of person who likes to text a lot anyway, but being that the date was so far off I was considering doing it to maintain interest even before I boneheadedly deletes my tinder.

Right, the date was set up on Monday, and is for Saturday. So you wouldn't text her like today or tomorrow?

Wow. I read that link and it's scary how well that describes me.

I kind of have the same problem. Maybe try going out alone? I've thought of doing that but not sure if it's weird or not.

I've already suggested meeting up in safe places, but I can see how there are a lot of creeps on these things, and how that could spook someone.

I'll try calling her, thanks for that advice. I can assure you I'm not infatuated by her. Honestly from what I can see of her (tinder pics and snapchats) her physical appearance is borderline to me, but I figure I'd give it a chance and see how it goes.

That makes sense, and I can see why these girls would be sketched out what with all the weirdos on here. Any tips to increase success with the matches I already have? Or is it just a game of numbers?

That makes sense, but it makes me wonder- if you don't touch enough, you've lost it, if you touch too much, you lost it, so what are you supposed to do?

Practice

A lot of men get a woman's number, and get into the mind frame that they HAVE to make this work out. It only does it come off as desperate, but it'll kill your confidence and make you more nervous. You're better off approaching it with the attitude that you could take it or leave it, and when you stop caring you'll actually do better. So I wouldn't say not to do a follow up text, but be advised if you have to do that, you're chances are probably gone.

I usually get Fucked up at bars and parties, and it affects my finances, mental health, physical health, and game poorly. I recently decided to stop, I just tell people I have to drive when I don't want to drink, and most people respect that. If they don't that's their problem. I think for me a bigger problem is giving up smoking, because it's such a good way to be sociable.

Yeah.... don't.

In my case there are not that many matches so it's worth putting maximum effort into the ones I do get.

Ignoring the obvious logistical concerns, I'll give that a shot next time. For now I've been saying "we should meet up sometime, do you want to do _ next week"

Makes sense. To be fair, I can understand why they're so skittish, there's a lot of weirdos on tinder. But I'll probably give it a last shot.

So you're suggesting texting once or twice before meeting up? Like full fledge conversation, or just checking up, or like what?
/r/seduction14/06/17 05:24 PM

That is way too soon

I got anxiety too. It sucks. What you have to do is just go for it with a mindset of you don't really care what happens. Send on of those girls a text asking to meet up, and you don't care if she says yes or no. The more you do it, the better you'll get at it

"Hey I think you're a really cool person, we should hang out sometime. Do you want to grab coffee this week?" You're done.

My ex fucked some dude in the woods behind her house so I imagine outdoors works for at least some girls.

I can't stress this enough. I was the kid that barely talked to people, and I really wanted to start getting girls. So I started taking to everyone, just being interested in what they had to say, and eventually I learned how to get (most) people to like me.

Good advice. I suppose this is something that will come with practice.

It sounds so simple but in practice it feels more complicated. I feel like such a creeper asking a girl "hey do you want to go upstairs" for example at a party in front of everyone or like "do you want to go back to your place"

I second this. Granted I haven't hooked up with many girls (trying to change that), but the ones I did I had conversations with and got to know them. One of them even became my ex girlfriend. Don't come across as desperate, they'll smell that a mile away.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
