Has everyone else here read The Manipulated Man by Esther Vilar? Amazing book for the modern MRA.Well that should be obvious. The only benefactors of the supposed "patriarchy" are the modern day aristocrats, the super rich who don't do any work but own all the valuable land. Everyone else suffered at their expense, but men bore and continue to bear the brute of it. They died for their wars. They labored endlessly in their factories. Women were the carrots-on-the-stick for them to do so as Vilar explains. | /r/MensRights | 22/03/14 04:21 AM
Has everyone else here read The Manipulated Man by Esther Vilar? Amazing book for the modern MRA.I don't know enough to say otherwise. Either way, very enlightening and a fun read for me. | /r/MensRights | 22/03/14 04:10 AM
Has everyone else here read The Manipulated Man by Esther Vilar? Amazing book for the modern MRA.I wouldn't go as far to say that it was what she did in her personal life. Just things that she seen in other women in her time. | /r/MensRights | 22/03/14 03:59 AM
Has everyone else here read The Manipulated Man by Esther Vilar? Amazing book for the modern MRA.I will have to respectfully disagree with your opinion. As a young man who has lived his life feeling inadequate, the book has been a real eye-opener. I highly recommend any conscientious person to read it. There is no misogyny unless you take the words out of context. Considering that the author is a woman, it should be clear that any negative references to woman do not in fact refer to all women, but a particular group who have taken advantage of men and continue to do so. Most of the problems… | /r/MensRights | 22/03/14 03:44 AM
Major Canadian University (UBC) Plans to Mandate All New Students Undergo Feminist IndoctrinationThe Conservative Party is only economically conservative, they have no unified opposition against liberal policies like these. As well, it is looking very likely that they will be replaced in the next election. As for the Charter, there is nothing that would explicitly forbid such things. There is no organized student resistance either as its much harder start a group for such a thing without being labelled sexist, racist or homophobic. | /r/MensRights | 20/02/14 10:39 PM
Major Canadian University (UBC) Plans to Mandate All New Students Undergo Feminist IndoctrinationOh I'm sorry... I didn't realize there was a place where discrimination against women and the creation of a hostile work/school environment was a governing policy. In our world, laws protect women from discrimination, while discrimination against men is protected by law. Any spectre of discrimination against women is met with lawsuits and public outcry, while men suffer from discriminatory hiring practices in the name of diversity. There's no denying that some people are jerks who will harass pe… | /r/MensRights | 20/02/14 08:44 PM
Major Canadian University (UBC) Plans to Mandate All New Students Undergo Feminist Indoctrination9.1 Develop a culture of equality course requirement to be met as part of all undergraduate and professional degree completion. The requirement will include a coherent cross-list of all existing courses that deal substantively with intersectional gender-based violence and Aboriginal peoples. Each unit will provide a comprehensive list of courses clearly identifying the qualifying subject matter from which students can choose to meet this graduation requirement (see 9.2). 9.2 Develop a culture of… | /r/MensRights | 20/02/14 06:59 PM
Restoring Political Dialogue: Can we break the two-party system?Regardless, I hope the goal of restoring political dialogue so that ideas can be exchanged instead of insults is worth thinking about. | /r/MensRights | 10/06/13 01:47 AM
A Call to Arms: Us vs ThemYet it happens every single day. Murders happen everyday. Robberies happen every day. Domestic violence and rape are criminal issues, not human rights issues. Do you think we could stop murders and robberies by protesting? I can't recall anyone implying that all men are abusive or that all men >are rapists. I've seen that said here a few times, and I really just don't >get it. I'm not being flippant. I really, really don't understand why men >would take offense to ant-rape and anti-DV campaigns.… | /r/MensRights | 06/06/13 05:08 AM
A Call to Arms: Us vs ThemTrust me, I am not underestimating their power. I agree with what you're saying. They have immense power and control through the media and through education system. But we have something even more powerful on our side and that is the truth. You say standing up for men will get you attacked by young people, but how many of those young people really understand what they're supporting? What I am suggesting is that we bring honest arguments to them to show them the light. I'm not saying we can chang… | /r/MensRights | 06/06/13 04:27 AM
A Call to Arms: Us vs ThemWe need everyone we can get. The main point I was trying to get across is that our enemies are greater than just a few feminists. They are merely puppets. Do you honestly believe that feminism has progressed so far on the merits of their arguments? And on marriage, please read what I wrote about the powerful turning us against each other. How can you make a blanket statement such as saying marriage is a lost cause, please elaborate. | /r/MensRights | 06/06/13 04:19 AM
A Call to Arms: Us vs ThemFeminists are going to war against men regardless. Let them. Let us rally to us the good and honest with honest analysis of problems with no bs. The proportional of young people who are satisfied with the current economic situation are minimal. Let us the ones to tell them, "it was not always this way", and I assure you, they will want to know more. No they don't. They gain credibility that way. I've been on hundreds of feminist boards and got banned in just about all of them at least once. This… | /r/MensRights | 06/06/13 04:08 AM
A Call to Arms: Us vs ThemIn the case of reproductive rights, I would say its complicated with many ethical and moral considerations, so I will not address it. The rest of your issues however, I would invite you consider my point of view. The problem that most people have against the feminist fight against domestic violence and rape is that, to us, it seems to be a false issue. Now before you get upset, let me explain myself. Domestic violence and rape are already thought of as one of the most horrific crimes that one ca… | /r/MensRights | 06/06/13 04:01 AM
A Call to Arms: Us vs ThemEvery evil person sees themselves as good, but to do so they have to >sear their consciousness completely. They are NOT sincere and they do >know they are often lying but to them lying and hypocrisy is just fine. Some do lie on purpose. Some are so delusional that they believe their lies to be true. Others, are simply recipients to those lies. It is they who we must engage in debate with. Well that's Socialism you need to be looking at for that sort of critique. >Feminism undermines socialism an… | /r/MensRights | 06/06/13 03:33 AM
A Call to Arms: Us vs ThemYou say that the ideology of a feminist is first and foremost equality. Then let me ask you, what do you feel as a moderate feminist, should be the goal of the feminist movement? Where is equality lacking in western society? | /r/MensRights | 06/06/13 02:47 AM

A Call to Arms: Us vs ThemI think you misunderstand, we are in full agreement. I'm not advocating treating feminists with kid gloves. We need to respond to them firmly, but if we do not recognize feminists as good-natured albeit severely misguided people and only as exaggerated caricature, I do not see how we can honestly reach. Treat them with respect and upvote rational arguments, if they do not do the same then let them be. We are in a public forum and I trust that other will be able to figure out who is in right and … | /r/MensRights | 05/06/13 11:43 PM
