She already fired the first salvo and it was a dud. Don’t stand in front of the next one get your affairs in order and start talking to a lawyer right away. It will save you in the future from being strung along just to be left out to hang in the wind

So I would also stipulate first right of refusal. If your ex spouse for example wants to had the kids off to someone for a weekend you would be the first to be asked before going with anyone else

So This is the beauty of the day. Take her to do things that YOU want to do. Not where your ex planned something and you open up a gift of socks.. This is YOUR day to enjoy your right to be a father. Being the best father to her is to show her things that you enjoy. When I got divorced one of the first things I did was get my pilots license. On Father’s Day I got to share my love of aviation with them by flying them somewhere for breakfast. It was the best Father’s Day I’ve ever had and a day th…

Which state are you in. In California they try to do 50/50

Don’t short yourself when sorting this out. You are your biggest advocate in the separation process. Don’t let the other party to emotionally manipulate you to get the rug pulled out from under you. With that air cleared take time to better yourself. Find ways to decompress and de stress whenever you can. It can be frustrating and maddening at times but you will be better when coming out on the other side.

I second that. Divorced last year. California is a 50/50 split of everything. As long as you are not an abuser or have a big wrap sheet then it’s 50/50

So first off what state are you in? Second with the child just be honest with them. Don’t slam the other parent but just explain that mom and dad have decided to live apart, then make the best of the time you have with your child

So first off I would say don’t beat yourself up. It’s better to cut things now than to continue to “make it work” while being unhappy yourself. It will just make it miserable for everyone. Next at this point don’t turn back now. The damage is done unless you think that you to can really reconcile and make it work. Next I would reach out to an attorney for advice. Don’t go with someone you hear on the radio all the time because sometimes they don’t have your best interest, normally they offer a f…

So we have 2/2/3 on paper but right now we are practicing 7/7 when the kids started school again they voiced that they didn’t like the 2/2/3 because it screwed up with them being able to focus on school when they have to switch locations during the weekday so we swap them once a week right now. The kids like it but the ex hates it

I’m going through this similar issue and have similar questions. We are in ca and she makes more than double what i make. Because we have to split she doesn’t feel it’s fair at all. In addition she doesn’t want to pay alimony at all and if i ask for that then she has threatened to end mediation and go to court. The problem i run into is that on one side she can be polite but on the other be a nightmare to deal with. For example she mentioned the other day that she understands it’s legally ok to …
