1	Are left-wing politics really feminine? Just as you say, left wing politics are not feminine at all. That does happen in the US (Democrats win women 55-45 or so, Republicans win men by similar margins), but in most other places the pattern does not hold up. At least here in Spain there's barely any correlation between voting for right wing or left wing parties and gender.
