Dude, 40% of americans over 35 have either simplex 1 or 2. I carry it and I can tell you I have been more inconvenienced by any given average cold I've caught than I have been from this. Yes, it's communicable, as are a million things you have. For most people, it causes a minor skin rash once in their lives. For some others, it causes a minor skin rash a few times a year. Big deal. So does the sun, and nobody avoids the sun. Yawn, non-issue.
