I have a difficult time respecting leaders who are slobs and grossly overweight. Shows a lack of discipline and if you aren’t a truly disciplined person of strong will you can’t effectively lead. If you look around the board room or in the executive teams at large corporations you will see a trend of people who take care of themselves. There are few exceptions. I don’t feel like this applies to intellectuals unless it is relevant to the subject matter.

What you’re saying is an accurate observation but not wholly relevant to my comment. You did reinforce the point regarding how women treat “undesirable” men. Charm and attractiveness help to a degree in every aspect of life, whether people who aren’t charming or capable of being good looking like it or not. Men and women respond to it differently and value different things, but that’s a lengthy conversation on its own.

They’re programmed to protect the narrative. And men are predisposed to doing so. They never even stop to consider if there is truth in it. I dated a liberal female who I had read the rational male, and she then made sure her brother read it. And then he made it a requirement for all his frat pledges.
