but why aren't they out there marching and placarding for truly equal rights for their sons, fathers, brothers, en masse? But they are, you just have to stop following liberal feminists.

Why are you guys so anti-feminist? Every feminist I've talked to has the same stance on mental illnesses, emotions and men that this post is reflecting. Critique against putting roles on men froma young age, tipically things like power, strength, stoicism, this has all been done by feminists for a long time. It's always been feminism to defend men that don't conform to the roles society puts on them. It was the feminists that drove the sexual revolution from both perspectives. Don't mean to offe…

In terms of users or semantic similarity? And do you mean stuff like "Stalin did nothing wrong" and talking about putting people into a Gulag as seen on /r/FULLCOMMUNISM? First, the violent talk is part of the satirical nature, on the other side, /r/The_Donald is meant dead serious. And I really, really cannot imagine any of these Tankies seriously commenting in /r/berniesanders or /r/Hillaryclinton. I mean, maybe to debate liberals, but not in support of Bernie or Hillary

Okay so you claim that radical communists are on these hate subs too, I mean I have no idea why a communist should visit /r/coontown, but you ignore the fact that this approach was never decided to analyze this and second, you fail to give a hint to how this can possibly be analyzed. But at the same time you claim that there is a correlation using the approach used in the article, although a weaker one, between those hate subreddits and /r/hillaryclinton, which should be easy to prove. So your v…

I meant more like for example a sub called /r/blackpeoplecrimes will not be a sub for real news stories about crimes done by black people, it will inevitably turn into a racist circlejerk at some point. Because who subscribes and comments on a sub designed to collect crimes done by black people? Racists. Who subscribes to this sub? Misogynists.

I don't really know what you are talking about, to be honest. Using the code explained at the bottom of the article, the team found out that there is a high similarity in words used in comments of those hate subreddits and /r/the_donald: For over 50,000 subreddits that span a huge range of topics, it gets a bit more complicated. Instead of characterizing all of them in terms of just two subreddits — like r/Outdoors and r/nutrition above — we ranked all of the subreddits by the number of unique c…

I think the author just analyzed something different than what you want to have analyzed. Also your conclusion from the article that: The author then concludes that all the hate subs follow the users of /r/The_Donald, which is completely false. is false. That's not what the article claims. At all.

You can also analyze Tankie subs if you feel like it, the article was just aimed at analyzing /r/The_Donald

To be honest, I don't know. Taking only frequent commenters into account wouldn't be that hard, though.

It always was. Subreddits aimed at nuanced critique always seem to attract extremists

There is/was actually a pretty large connection between commenters of /r/The_Donald and /r/fatpeoplehate There was a pretty great article where they applied the technique of latent semantic analysis to commenters of subreddits, allowing adding and subtracting of different subreddits. The result of subtracting the commenters of /r/politics from /r/The_Donald was this (Number is a measurement of similarity): 1.r/fatpeoplehate 0.275 2.r/TheRedPill 0.274 3.r/Mr_Trump 0.266 4.r/coontown 0.266 5.r/4ch…
