Are healthy relationships even a goal of TRP? I'm not familiar with all the YT guys, but from the subreddit I've always gotten the impression that they view serious LTRs as for beta cucks. It's all about spinning plates, no woman is truly yours because it's just your turn, etc. Seems much better suited for hookups than an actual relationship.

The end goal of both subs is similar: have a more fulfilling dating life. The way each sub attempts to reach seems very different, but I'd argue simply saying TRP is more focused on self-improvement while FDS isn't focused on self-improvement (like many commenters have stated) is a bad take. They're both focused on self-improvement, it's just the methods of self-improvement look completely different because the state of the dating market. Let's assume two things about the marketplace: 1. that me…

Yeah this must be what the woman in the post means by "use discernment". She wants men to take the good parts from RP (self-improvement, assertiveness) but leave the bad parts (anger, toxicity). Personally I agree with you, that RP gets some stuff right. But there's also so, so much wrong, I believe advising anyone to dip their toes in the RP water long enough to become attractive and self-confident and leave before they become a mysoginistic asshole is too dangerous. Especially for young dudes …

I don't know how you'd find concrete facts to debunk it, but I don't think it's particularly necessary either because it's not like there's concrete facts supporting it. You've actually already reached what I feel is a big obstacle for people trying to escape RP ideology: recognizing women are not some monolith. That whole AWALT stuff is absurd, especially considering how easy it is to disprove by just having female friendships. Some women will follow what RP describes as AF/BB. Some won't. Some…

Does it feel weird to contradict yourself in the same thread? "If the goal is to attract a partner," then "getting the girl should never be the end goal" whut? Could you please make up your mind? Those are not contradictory statements. OP actually did a good job of breaking it down in the comment you're replying to, but here it is in another form: X should never be the goal, Y should be the goal. Even if X is the goal, aiming for Y is still the best way to reach X. Idk if that helps, but that's …

That dynamic is pretty self-evident for most people, although you should probably replace "looks" with a more general "superficial attraction" to account for things like status. OP is saying the people who don't believe in this dynamic, ie that personality doesn't matter at all, are projecting their own issues.

Female masturbation must be a hoax too. And the female sex toy industry. And casual sex.

How is it not blatantly obvious that, some women finding older men attractive does not mean most women find older men attractive. Because one of TRPs foundational theories is that all women are the same. AWALT. I think originally it's meant to just be talking about hypergamy? But invariably, they'll use it to imply because some women like X, all women like X. I always found this phenomenon to be one of the weirdest logical leaps for TRP.

Yeah, abbreviations/lingo/jargon can be found in any community.

You can try Models by Mark Manson. Or possibly No More Mr. Nice Guy by Robert Glover. I've read the former and it's pretty much TRP self-improvement advice without the misogyny. I haven't read the latter but I think it's the same.

TRP is a community build on a solid foundation. Focus on yourself, be a better man, and consequently you'll also be more desirable to women. TRP also has a huge problem with rampant misogyny. And that'll never change. The community by nature attracts men who have been hurt, maybe even broken, by shitty women. So it's no surprise that there's a lot of anger, lashing out, accusations and hatred everywhere. Learn what you can from TRP to avoid being a "beta cuck." If you're in the so-called "friend…

OP is drawing a faulty conclusion from the article. It's not saying that over time women lose desire in their partner while men maintain the same level, it's saying women lose desire overall and men don't. Desiring new sexual partners is another issue and while I don't have any article to back this up, but I'm betting this is something that affects everyone regardless of gender. New is exciting. If anything, article OP linked would more support your idea that men are more prone to infidelity tha…
