You are right. Also I will admit that my lines include a bit of "screening" on my part, cause they are injected with a bit of weirdness that I personally like. If a girl just doesnt get that the fact I am showing her the club like "this is the bar area" is a joke and does not play along, chances are I may not like her. All in all I think this conversation has proven only that you should come to Germany and we will BFFs - Beer friends forever!

I disagree. I think you should not tell a cute girl she is cute right away, unless you tease her about it. EDIT: Guys, you are killing me. I have climbed a mountain and searched my soul, but I cannot see how this line is good in any situation possible as a first sentence! The problem is it is an obvious pick up line. If you have success this way, literally any other sentence would have worked.

I actually made them up as I wrote except for the shield thing which works EVERY DAMN TIME. EDIT: Just realised I have given the club tour in different form many times.

I am honestly surprised but that but folks seem to agree. I realize how these lines (which i made up on the spot btw) could fail if you just stammer them without any confidence. In this regard they are probably not good as "canned" material. But believe me good sir, if you pull off the club tour thing with humor it cannot fail and is something they have never heard - very much opposed to "hey Im here now". I will say that I am not from the USA tho, so maybe that is a factor.

Thanks buddy, everyone clearly likes your stuff better which honestly makes me question my own view. Overall it is probably mostly about delivery! I was critical because I thought your lines wouldn't work if one didnt pull them off very well, but I realise that is even more true for the ones I suggested. It might have to do with culture too btw, I am from Europe. EDIT: clarity

When fumbling with a drink or something like that, I often say: "Excuse me, I was raised by wolves and it is my first day in the city." It is not too self-depricating as I say it with a big smile. Often leads to a little inside joke and has led to me biting the girl playfully cause that is how "we play".

Excellent post OP! To me number 9 is the most important.
