Wow. Is this normal now? Everyone in Seddit turns into a hard ass the second opportunity presents itself? "I broke his jaw" "Weaker men get punched in the face" "I'd have bottled you" I've been considering unsubscribing for awhile ever since it looked like the majority of good advice has come from AskSeddit anyway, but this clinches it. If I wanted to hear a bunch of keyboard jockeys talking about how they would bring harm to someone IRL, I'd go back to the 90s and hit up AOL chatrooms.

Simply going to the gym doesn't turn you fit overnight. Not even over a week or a month. It can take years for someone to lose 50+ lbs. What's a guy supposed to do during that time? Not approach women because he feels he isn't good enough? That's an AFC thought pattern if I've ever heard one.

And what, pray tell, is a man supposed to do in the interim while losing weight? Here's the scenario I've always used: You see a fat person. Can you tell me what they ate today? Their appearance suggests hamburgers, pizza and cookies, but you have no clue if they had salad, grilled chicken, water and started it all with a mile walk to get their morning coffee. One of the biggest caveats for both of the subreddits you listed is that losing weight takes time. I was 335 and lost 100lbs, but the eff…

I love that! It's applicable to everything, but in language, more obvious mistakes are made and the solutions are in plain writing. I find it ironic that people fear learning a new language when the mistakes made there are some of the easiest to correct. When I make a mistake when talking to a woman, I have to try several different solutions to find what works for me. Much more haphazard than looking in a textbook and saying "Ohhhh, I'm supposed to say 'Boku wa' instead of 'Atashi wa'."

Problem is I can't turn it off on command. Not effectively anyway. Quick: What is the next thought that's going to pop into your head??? Stop reading and answer the question: What is the next thought that is going to pop into your head. ...Did you feel that moment of hesitation? Where your mind was searching itself? That's what you want to feel. In that moment, you can stop thinking and act. It's a bit crunchy groove metaphysics stuff but you might want to read "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Toll…

I took on the "leader of men" role and experimented. That's all I was looking for. Successful FR in my book. I was afraid after reading about DGAF that you'd hang back and take whatever he offered to you. Good to see that you got out there yourself after the safety net of your DGAF friend was removed. You should talk with him and see if he can show you how to better wing for him so that he'll learn your habits and wing more effectively for you.

One thing I've taken from your teachings is that you encourage men to go pursue their interests and meet women of like interest in the pursuit of those activities. My question is: What if a man has interests that are largely male in demographic? That is to say, what if very few women are interested in what one man is interested in? Is it a game of patience at that point simply waiting for new women to enter the activity, or should one expand one's interests and explore new hobbies and activities…

I'm only 16, I want to wait till at least 18 to let my body grow naturally. Smart. I recommend jogging or biking if you want to start working out. I started biking two miles a day and now I'm up to nine miles. If you have a good route, it's really fun and the mental boost of just having an hour or two to think about things really helped me square my shit together. Calisthenics aren't a bad idea either.

Whose fault is that? Get out there. People aren't as scary as you think. If nothing else, if you say hi to everyone, at least half will smile and return the greeting. I may sound kind of harsh, but if it motivates you to meet new people, I'll consider it a fair shake.

This may not be your style, but I'd go off the wall with it. My first thought is wear a kilt with no underwear. Tell them you thought it was a no-underwear party. Alternatively, show up in a banana-hammock and be all "What? This is what I always wear." Be "that" guy and have a good time. Everyone going to a party like this is going to be somewhat uninhibited anyway, it's your job to make sure everyone knows that it's a party and just because people feel relaxed in their skivvies doesn't mean tha…

God I felt really bad doing this to the Swedish AFCs (they were really friendly) but I was on a mission and there was going to be some colateral damage here. So as one of them is chatting her up I start to correct all the AFC mistakes he is making. I correct his body language (stooped and defensive) and give tips and so on. Of course I do all this as playfully as I can and the poor guy... I completely fucked up his frame. You probably helped the guy more than you knew. If it hurts him in that se…

Absolute truth. For reference as to how random my brain is and how little I care, I submit the song I sang in the shower this morning: Ichirin No Hana And yes, I sang it in as much of the Japanese I could remember.

If you believe in this sort of thing, beaches signify the meeting of two states of mind (Maybe your AFC and Alpha selves?) and to be aware of your dream means an overly stressed or worried mental state. Source That said. It was just a dream dude. Wake up, say "Whoa, that was weird." and take a shower. Hell I dreamt about fucking my buddy's ex the other day, but I didn't call her up and try to get in her pants. It was a dream. The mind is funky like that. Shake it off.

I would love to hear the process by which you attained this realization. I stumbled into it after feeling like bashing my head against a wall trying to understand all of the seddit stuff. I've heard others gain it through bit-by-bit understanding of the material. I've found that as an AFC, it would have been insanely helpful if people had shared their thought processes on the way to this mindset.

If you don't like bars, what in the world were you doing trying to meet women in a bar? I don't know if you've listened to these before, but Wygant gives a great perspective on guys that go to clubs and bars just because the women are there. I found some of his stuff kind of hippie-ish, but there's still a lot of great material and it's almost tailor made for a guy like you that doesn't like the bar scene.

I don't know if #2 is the best advice. You don't have to be comfortably numb with drink to run game. That said, being relaxed drunk is a decent way for you to experience the mindset you should experience while sober. If it helps you learn to better live in the moment, then by all means, have a few while you're out and about, but don't use it like a crutch where you have to have a "magic number" before every set. Once you've experienced what it feels like to be in-the-zone few times, try an appro…

I thought this was going to be about running game in a Subway sandwich shop. I read anyway and I was not disappointed. I love that you forced yourself to move even if you weren't in-state. You have hell of self-motivation there and I can't wait to try it myself. Would I be correct in saying the mindset is similar to forcing yourself to go to the gym even if you just want to sink into the couch?

I knew if I stuck around here long enough, I'd find a way to contribute more than just no-close FRs. My roommate is better than me in everything. Appearance, financially, charismatically, creatively and in about every other way you can imagine. If other friends didn't know he was there, I'd think he was my own personal Tyler Durden. The fact is, I resented him for a very long time until only recently. I know behind my back he refers to me almost like a pet, or a nephew. "A good kid" may be an ex…

Give it a few days. Call again. Leave a voicemail. Go about your day with more interesting things than sitting around waiting for a phone call. If she doesn't call back, oh well. Done, done, and on to the next one. One of the things I took from Wygant is momentum. You get the number, you text when you get home, or later in the evening. Makes one harder to forget and makes calling them back much easier. How long are you waiting? If you're still doing the stupid "wait 3 days so you don't seem need…

I lose a lot of respect for girls who want to fuck but make us wait, its childish I can see how you'd feel that way, but I'm not sure a loss of respect is the right wording. After 3 dates, I too call it dead. I'm not going to waste my time with someone when there's no physical chemistry there. Roofies maybe? Seriously though. You're looking for a magic bullet. There isn't one. Sometimes you'll close, sometimes you won't. Such is life. The trick is to not care because you know the next one is right around the corner. I've heard it said that women are like buses: There's a new one at your stop every 20 minutes.

"Get out of your head" used to be one of my least favorite phrases because I knew I was in my head and I didn't know how to get out. This illustrates the "in your head" mindset perfectly. If you're the guy in the comic. Keep talking. Keep trying. It's going to feel like your bashing your head against a brick wall most of the time, but eventually, you're going to find the point in the wall you can break through.

I am a firm believer that Strip Club Lounging should be a professional sport. Get a team of guys to walk in with $100 each. Their goal is to try and keep their money and the girls' goal is to get as much money as they can in 4 hours. Throw a wrench in there by adding a bar with $3 wells and money spent at the bar doesn't count towards either team's final totals. With this mindset, I enjoy strip clubs more when my buddies are all "Yeah! Let's go see some titties!!!"

That's the ticket right there. I let myself get taken out of the zone. Strangely enough, hearing this has given me a revelation. I've heard literally every piece of PUA lit say the best way to stay out of the friend zone is to never go there in the first place. Now that I've let myself get taken out of a mental zone, I better recognize the states of mind that have led me to friendzone myself in the past. This is the first attempt I feel I've actually learned something in failing.

It's not a matter of domination. Its a matter of desperation. If you appear desperate (giving your power away to anyone that will take it) then you're less likely to get a positive response. Women don't want desperate men.

Isn't this sort of a form of giving power away? It's like "Hey, you know I'm game, ball's in your court now." and she can do whatever she likes with the ball. I am very sorry for your loss OP. It reminds me of a David Wygant talk I heard. I don't remember which one, but he said something to the effect of people who read the material presented in the seduction community do so because they're sick of living on the sidelines. In the piece, Wygant seemed to be literally begging people to go out and live their life instead of acting like they have all the time in the world. AskReddit maybe, but relationship (and relationship_advice) give out a large volume of advice that is very counterproductive to someone trying to learn PUA. Those two seem mostly geared towards salvaging a relationship or working out a relationship problem, not starting one. To hell with that. I would NEVER call the police if my wife/girlfriend was beating me. Maybe it's just CA, but there's a better chance the police will take you into custody instead of her. I drop "flow" mid conversation and panic. I start grabbing at straws for something to talk about and while no one has overtly called me a weirdo, the body language and facial expressions that accompany said opinion are ones I have been very familiar with since high school.

You're talking about a word being used in a different way and gaining a new definition. Blade still means leaf, but the far broader definition is the flat, cutting portion of a sharpened tool.
