Practice Practice Practice Until you try out all the methods you've read and put the theory to practice, you will see no change. This advice applies to all types of games. Do to see what can be done.

Great starting point! You should really hold onto the change in mindset you had by talking to the 50yr old man. What really helped me in getting rid of my nervousness was changing my thoughts about what was happening. Instead of going into interactions thinking I'm going to talk to a pretty girl and I need to have something interesting to say, I go into it by thinking 'she looks like a really interesting person! I have to say hi!' It's really easy to open large sets with this mentality. Also, tr…

Yes, you are in the wrong. First, like you pointed out, never have a text conversation. It's easy to fall in the hole of using too many words to say too little. When we speak, it's forgiven, but in text it's another story. You really shouldn't have carried on this conversation for soo long. Plus, there's no reason to tell people your negative thoughts unless they ask for it. Frankly one and a half hour long date is pretty pointles even if I make it for 2 so lets just forget about this." Unnecess…

One of the best ways to frame the situation. My best responses to LMRs have revolved around changing the frame to her seducing me. Works wonders.

Find an inspirational quote that reminds you instantly of being in-state. When you're in state, take a few seconds to think of the quote and completely immerse yourself in the idea. Do this a few times. Then, when you're out of state. Try to meditate on the quote to get back in state. Both my quotes come from songs: "Spiral out, keep going. Spiral out, keep going. Spiral out! keep going.." from Lateralus by Tool. This brings out the 'hunger' in me. Originally "The sense of the world must lie out…

uh is this just some dude she wants to hook up with? I said to her "are we gonna go somewhere to chat or what?" and she was like "yeah, in a minute". I waited a minute at the bar and then I left. Fuck that. Definitely looks like being outcome dependent. Just try to have fun! If she's not going to talk to you, open another set.

Like I said, it's just about practicing to get into the right mind set. Here's a quick exercise: Every hour just make a note on what you're thinking about and how you're mentally commenting on the environment. Here's an example: If I'm currently working on a project, I could reflect on it many different ways. "Oh man, I can totally take a break now, I've done a lot of work and it's going well!" "This is going great! I can't wait to finish it to see how it looks!" "Fucking shit, why couldn't I fi…

Wild times and high risk maneuvers. This is all the situation necessitates. Edit: damn phone. Didn't save the rest of what I wrote. Fuck it, I don't feel like rewriting that shit.

I think you're oversimplifying relationships a little bit. There's no end all be all where everything is based on showing value or the pervasiveness of the woman's social prowess. It's more of a sliding scale of relative importance. Just like you and your partner may not may be angry, sad, or hornet at the same time, there's no justification in saying the two of you must love equally or do so at the same time. My most successful relationship was based on mutual understanding. It's that simple to…

It seems like the chicken or the egg argument to me. But you can't say there's no evolutionary justification at all. Sure they're conditioned in some sense culturally but there's evidence to support the inborn argument like e.e.g. scans of male and female brains during conversation showing the female brain activates in more areas. There are genetic reasons as to why women have wider hips than men and why men can more easily develop muscle. I would be hard pressed to believe it doesn't extend to …

Honestly, I look at it like I do working out or getting better at mental math. Most of it is regimented practice so you get better as you do and do as you get better. Enjoying work, also known as doing something productive which you also enjoy, defines you as a person. It seems to me you have an inner game problem, and I think you already recognized it. By looking at your comment history, I don't think you're really burned out, it just seems like the same once-in-a-while frustration we all succu…

On point. It looks like he didn't build enough attraction. I suggest just going for the call and playing it from there. I had a girl try to flake with some bs response. Called her, found out it was stress from work. Built attraction again by getting a few laughs out of her and showing her she'd feel better being around me. She picked me up 30mins later.

I think the other advice given here might be off base (but may be right). Here's a little devils advocate. We need more context for this situation. You don't mention the country or ethnicity of the people you hang out with which is very important in answering this question. There are a few Asian countries where touching higher ups is a big no-no culturally. While the higher up may be okay with it to save face or maybe he just DGAF, his people might see it as offensive. If you're in a country/are…

Thanks for sharing the links! I just watched an hour of Robbins videos. Insane. Also, take a look at how he speaks--that's also misdirection. I know people say to speak slowly and confidently, but if you can speak quickly with ease it works great too Eh..I think disqualifying is creating cognitive dissonance rather than acting as a misdirection. My understanding of disqualification is you disqualify yourself so s/he believes you're not into her when she initially thought you were. This creates a…

75% of laughing is social. People laugh because they're around others, not as much the content is funny. People will laugh at your jokes more because they like you rather than they think you're super funny (it also could be both!).

I liken going into state as a facet of CBT. It's the process of systematically replacing all your negative, socially handicapping thoughts with ones which make you a more outgoing person. Like mestivo said, it's about practice and meditation--it's an exercise of discipline and self control. The longer and more often you're in state, the more you will be able to do so in the future. Sample Exercise: Catch yourself anytime you have thoughts which act negatively or hold you back and remind yourself…

Wut. Is this the real life? A more drunk V, referred to this girl as the "big, tall girl" and tried pulling down her panties saying "Lets see what you got down there" or something along those lines. This instantly made the girls feel uncomfortable, and they started having second guesses. At first I tried defending V, but when the girls didn't seem to give in, I politely kicked V out of the bathroom. For the sake of the seddit community. What did you do that made it all happen?

Stop over analyzing the outcome. Until there's a legitimate reason you need to be so emotionally invested in this new person you've met, spend more time thinking about things/people you care about. This is being attached to the outcome, there's no need to do so. Try to figure out what's wrong with the process and accept the outcome. "Well, I had a great time with you last xxx! Take it easy and hit me up when you're free."

Be genuinely interested and participate in the conversation with your full efforts and you'll have a hard time running out of things to say/talk about. But it helps to always have a few somewhat relevant stories you can tell well that can DHV. And relevance can easily just be "Oh the other day..." If silent, don't break eye contact--it only ever gets awkward when you believe it's awkward. Everyone here says it over and over again because it's true. Plus, you don't always need words. You can easi…

No worries, not necessary to defend yourself. I was only responding to the story as you wrote it--I'm sure there's much more in the reality of it.

It's a great opener, but I hope you didn't ruin her night.. While it did boost your spirits, it was at the expense of another. You could have easily just defused the situation for her and made her feel comfortable while continuing the set.

I was like you a few years ago. The funny thing is, you're not really a romantic. You may think it, but until you've actually had romance there's no real comparison. All you've read, seen on TV, or dreamt about is an abridged, arguably a hyperbolized (not a word?), version of the real thing. Stop thinking and start acting. Spend more time with the girls you find attractive and escalate. Unfortunately, from what you've written, it seems like you've built this up too much in your head. You're gonn…
