Oh boy. Hahaha. I was very needy and manipulative. I've learned one thing: you gotta take people's word at its face value. The timing was off - she was busy when I wanted to hang out and vice versa. Seven years later, we still keep in touch, miraculously. I don't have any "plans" or expectations. Though I will say, that as far as women go, I actually have something to talk about with her / appreiate her company. Had the opposite experience where I had a Playboy-level model "throw" herself at me …

thanks all for the advice. plan is to forget about her unless she initiates something. there was 0 enthusiasm when i told her that i'd be coming back and well, i might be getting strung for attention & validation at this point, just like previous poster wrote.

Look away after they look away. Care to elaborate more on this? How many times do you lock eyes with guys? 80% of people will look away but the 20% that I "bump" into won't. It gets uncomfortable and could be interpreted as threatening. Starting a fight because of eye contact sure is a stupid reason. I have some hangup on this subject and I'd like to solve it.
