I think they do. I liken being more attractive as having a better chance at getting an audition. The more attractive you are, the easier it is to get the audition. Ultimately though, it's how you perform once you have their attention that matters.

I think the general rule of thumb I'm slowly picking up on is always escalate face to face, only escalate enough through texting (or whatever) to meet face to face, and do that cautiously.
