Worse than rape. To get revenge or not to get revenge? That is my question.I was trying to support that, and positive over negative feedback loops. I wasn't trying to reinvent the wheel, just reference your post. | /r/MensRights | 27/05/13 03:57 AM
Worse than rape. To get revenge or not to get revenge? That is my question.I wouldn't say a "higher social level" is necessarily an apt description. Example, my ex and her family sit around all day talking about how much of a terrible person I am and how I'm the one in the wrong, and it is a constant enabling pity party. Her friends are more inclined to believe her, I chose not to attempt to similarly defame her. That may or may not be the correct choice, but I've gotten a lot of hateful words simply because she doesn't hesitate to declare me the scum of the earth to a… | /r/MensRights | 27/05/13 01:02 AM
Worse than rape. To get revenge or not to get revenge? That is my question. In that case, I slightly misunderstood. I feel like everything I said remains valid, but additionally I would add revenge isn't going to be worth it, and only serves to focus you on the past. If you're set on it though, I'd say that if you have any close relationships with the rest of your family, and if the family member does as well, making this betrayal quite public would go a long way to making sure no one ever trusts them again. Especially if you do so calmly and with reason rather than rag… | /r/MensRights | 27/05/13 12:54 AM
Worse than rape. To get revenge or not to get revenge? That is my question.additionally I hope it doesn't require saying, but keep trying to get that shit overturned. get a good job. be stable. keep your nose clean. be a better parental candidate than your ex. keep an eye out and an ear to the ground for anything you could capitalize on. don't wait until your daughter turns 18 to show up, if there is any humanly possible method of doing so without harming your chances further. | /r/MensRights | 26/05/13 01:40 AM
Worse than rape. To get revenge or not to get revenge? That is my question.OP, I've been considering this a lot lately, because as I mentioned in another comment thread, I may be in a similar situation soon. What I've come up with: Your ex doesn't matter. Not one tiny, itty bit at all ever. You'd do better to forget she ever existed. So where should your focus be? Your daughter. Think about what she's going to feel, growing up without a dad, what is your ex telling her, how is all that affecting her, what effect will it have later on down the line, how would you exacti… | /r/MensRights | 26/05/13 01:32 AM
Worse than rape. To get revenge or not to get revenge? That is my question. One example I could possibly think of is write your child letters at a set interval, describing how they're in your thoughts as you track their progress in life as you imagine/hope it is if you don't have any more concrete information. Make two copies. Find a lawyer who can assist with how communication could be legal/etc, if there is a restraining order of some sort, at the very least the lawyer would have a record of your attempts/desire to maintain contact with your child. Start a college fun… | /r/MensRights | 26/05/13 01:20 AM
| -6 | Worse than rape. To get revenge or not to get revenge? That is my question.I don't mean this insultingly, but did you fail reading comprehension? Or is English not your first language? The details in those instances are irrelevant to the point OP is making; he was grossly wronged and it changed his life, but he still struggles with the fallout. | /r/MensRights | 26/05/13 01:12 AM |
A message for the dadsI'm a new dad, and I've never thought about it in this way...I really like how you think, sir. Teach them the world is wonderful, but that care is necessary. | /r/MensRights | 26/05/13 01:03 AM
