You didn't get banned from shopping mall because you approached women. You got banned because you were uncalibrated and creepy. You can't say shit like that. Learn what calibration is and work on your game. The only way you can improve is to continue to do cold approach in a CALIBRATED WAY, maybe at places where you won't mind getting banned.

Nah they're not. This is a perfect example of good game affecting your perception. Women feel the same way when an average guy with good game engages with them. Your perceived value goes up in your favor. Learn from what they are sharing rather than focusing on things you can't change.

Well... why haven't you tried approaching women? Would you rather be shy or would you rather be laid. Had a similar experience lately. Be chill but firm when another man is talking to your girl. If they are just talking, be chill, join them for small talks. If the dude gets handsy with her, be firm in telling him to fuck off. Don't be afraid to get physical since your buddy will be there.

The way I see it there are 2 ways to read into this FR. You can be inspired by his success and work on your own game and eventually see success, or you can think it is fake, and be salty and think nothing is so easy in game. Only one of the above belief system will actually help make you be better with women, it is up to you the kind of attitude you want to adopt about dating, which will ultimately affect your own success.
