The way to develop that confidence is to only deal with the women that choose you. Yessir! There is so much BS advice about "inner game = confidence" that is solely about trying to nail the hottest woman in the room. All that does for most people is create anxiety because they're operating way outside their home turf, trying to land a woman they never have before. I have never felt as naturally confident and invulnerable when chatting with a woman I wasn't into, but who definitely was into me. I…

Try to make the best of it. See if there's anyone cool that you wouldn't mind hanging out with. If there isn't, drop it. The overwhelming majority of non-church/religious activities involving single guys are sausagefests. That's just the reality. Women looking to hang out with other women will be clear about making it a "women's only" space because they want to hang out and not get hit on.

Don't forget the ones who feel like commenting on threads equates to 'taking action'. The simple fact is that self improvement is hard, because it requites you to spend long hours, usually in solitude (work/exercise) when no one is looking, and no one can provide any validation that you are in fact getting better.

That is what it should mean, though. If a person regularly get girls, they're just good with girls. Calling that 'pick up artistry' is cringy, like he's performed a magic trick.

A sub about used cars would probably also dislike used car salesmen, because their dinosaur tactics are beyond obvious and can be seen from a mile away.

"be yourself" is the worst possible misnomer for what people really mean to say, which is don't try to be something you're not. There's a difference between personal development that gets you closer to offering an authentic, attractive personality, and showing up at a club wearing a feather boa and doing magic tricks to impress women.

Harvey Weinstein wasn't on a date with the women he raped/assaulted. Going for a kiss on a date isn't going to get you me too'd. If she isn't ready, she'll tell you or back away and you can own it by acknowledging her discomfort and making her feel heard. After you spend some more time together, you can try again.

How about getting on the Tube and going to a different part of London?

Do you remember the part of the book where Manson says men are tempted to read and read instead of taking action? That they do this because they're afraid to approach, and reading more theory makes them feel like they're taking action? That's what you're doing right now. I love Models too, first book that really spoke to me in a way PUA culture did not. That book covers plenty. Go out there and approach. Another article isn't going to make your chance of success better. Approaching will.

Can I ask what your IRL strategy is? What kinds of places are you running into women and striking up conversation? I need to learn this as OLD, which had been good to me at one point, now seems to be full of dead profiles and bots.

I'm with Mark Manson. The key question he asks is: "What are your intentions?" Women know when the guy they're talking to is interested in nothing more than fucking. They can spot it a mile away because they've been sexualized from the moment they hit puberty. They have a damn good sense of when guys are full of shit. Be upfront about your attraction. For the most part, both you and the woman know within moments of meeting each other whether you'd want to fuck each other . If you aren't upfront,…

I heard the following in a speech once: "Someone's opinion of you does not have to become your reality". You will appear to be creepy to some people. You will appear to be ugly to some people. The reactions you get can range from openly hostile, to scared, to neutral, to extremely positive. It's a big world out there, and while it's human nature to dwell on the negative, the only way to move forward is to keep approaching, exhibit a positive and friendly vibe.

you should pose that question to all the alcoholic pseudo philosophers in '60s psych rock bands that didn't make it big. Jim Morrison had the rock star image down pat, but it's likely that many others did as well. they simply didn't get their timing right, or their music didn't reach people the same way.

It's important to reflect on things every now and again. I don't think OP is worried, but it is an interesting topic of discussion as I'm sure we've all met somebody like that. Someone with a cool personality that unfortunately we weren't attracted to.

I've been there. And when I see another guy similar to me who's out in public with his gf, I immediately feel foolish for wallowing in self-pity instead of making a consistent effort. Because the latter improves my chances, while the former does nothing except get inside my head and make me feel like a victim.

Those subs look identical to male incel subreddits. There is no self-improvement happening there, everything is a variant of the incel "blackpill", which is "everything is fucked, nothing you can do will be enough, give up now".

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
