There is a centuries old debate about what this particular verse means and to whom Paul was addressing it to and about. Hell, they can't even agree on how to translate the text, let alone what it means. And yes, I do realize there are plenty who will use it as an excuse to exclude women from many things. Did I say the country was founded on communism? My point was, and is, that we share a great many resources both through taxation and without. Pretending it is only possible as some sort of communist construct is to miss the point of both capitalism and communism as it applies to workings of the government and shared resources among the citizens. I don't enjoy the humor these comics display outside of this project, so odds are really good I won't enjoy this either. That's the real issue here, not the fact they tried to pander, but they used a different type of comedy to tell the same story. You want something clever, have the old cast come back because the ghost of Dr. Egon Spengler is causing trouble, but they can't do the job anymore.

She is in both a position of power and authority over him. Depends on the state, actually. Most will allow for just enough to defend one self from attack, but no more force than is needed to either stop or restrain your attacker. It's why the person who pulled her off won't be charged.

I was cut, my son is not. Despite some of the more bizarre, and sane, explanations of how it was the wrong thing to do, my rationale is exactly the same now as it was the day I decided to leave it intact. It's his body, when he gets old enough, he can make an informed decision on if he wants the procedure done or not. There is not real medical reason in a modern society for this.
