Was there any reason given for that? Otherwise, I would be inclined to assume they just said that to make their video seem more relevant. I think it's annoying that everyone will be using this video as evidence for feminism for all eternity even though it's unscientific and deceptive.

At my Uni in the UK, we had a 'Unity' society that was assigning different spokespersons for different minority groups by race, gender, etc, to cover all bases. They had a vote and decided they wouldn't have a male representative because they already 'have too much of a voice, they don't need help'. The thing that annoyed me is that they thought they were 'right' because they voted on it - instead of realising that the society consisted mostly of feminists with the same ideals.

Have you ever been stared down by a strange person on public transit and wondered whether you would make it home safely? No one is denying that the treatment of boys in education is not an issue for the MRM but this source does nothing to demonstrate that. The article itself doesn't even talk about the treatment of boys in general. It's kind of hard to compare completely unrelated things, I'm sure there are many more examples that could be put on both sides on a variety of topics. I'm not going to argue whether overall men or women have/do have it better or worse because I don't know (and neither do you) but looking at only the rights of each gender is an extremely shallow analysis. While women have had less rights than men they also have had a lot less responsibilities and are, especially in the past, a lot less likely to die prematurely. As I said, it's really not an issue a dictionary should have an opinion on.

This is a pretty well documented truth to be honest. But I do think it can be an important argument for the MRA. One of the most frequent things I hear women say is that men are shallow because they only care for looks, and that women look for personality, intelligence, etc blah blah. It's just a load of crap. I wasn't sure if the example was saying 'discrimination, especially against women' or 'restricted job opportunities, something that happens especially to women'. But even in the latter case, men experience pure restricted opportunities too. Look at male nurses, baby sitters, secretaries etc... And as you said there are tonnes of other issues in regards to employment sexism. Either way its not even remotely an issue that a dictionary should be trying to evaluate.

The problem I have with the whole priviledge thing, is that even if white males are the most priviledged demographic, white females are easily the 2nd most priviledged (depending on if you think they are below males or not). It just seems so retarded to be 2nd on the hierarchy and spending all your time attacking the 1st on the hierarchy (by a slight margin), when you could instead be helping the ones far far below you.
