I think you should always stay independent and autonomous to some degree so you are ready for life’s curveballs, including divorce. However it’s important to remember that people change and life changes. If someone leaves or changes after many years it’s not necessarily manipulation or trickery. It just means your time together may be up. I think for a lot of us, we are meant to have multiple long term relationships throughout life rather than one partner until the very end.

This has been my experience sometimes, not always. I have found a guy that’s not that invested will leave once he gets sex. A guy that actually likes you isn’t going to do that. So yeah maybe don’t give it up immediately but definitely do it when you actually want to. If it feels right, there’s no need to wait. And many people, male and female, believe sexual chemistry is an important part of a relationship and want to determine this before they commit.
