You are really concerned with policing other people's behavior because you want to be seen as normal.

You were playing up that stereotype. You are reacting against your previous presentation of yourself. You are projecting your disgust at your personal phoniness onto others.

You are complaining of not being shown enough empathy and acceptance, while also not showing others empathy and acceptance.

Because "do it for me as a baby so I don't have to do it as an adult" is a common pro-circumcision trope. People who choose circumcision for themselves are in no special position to explain why it's bad.

The fact that I cannot be made whole goes without saying, but I don't think it's worth bankrupting the people doing childhood leukemia research in the futile attempt. Yes! Thank you! I agree. We need to get serious about what accountability really means. Unfortunately... I didn't get a chance to talk about what feminist accountability would mean in the context of the AAP. I just ran out of space so I had to break it up into two posts. I'll comment next week when I post the second half to ping yo…

Transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) children are under the microscope. In this essay I argue that the American Academy of Pediatrics, in it's recently announced review of evidence about gender-affirming care for TGD kids, can only qualm the moral panic about transgender care by creating a united position on gendered genital modifications. I address the AAP's past positions on "gender-normalizing" or gender-assigning surgeries on children with intersex traits, penile circumcision, and female gen…

That's fine. But you being glad shouldn't be grounds for denying other people their rights to self determination and bodily integrity. People trying to make you change how you feel about your body are misguided.
