No need to apologize. I followed what you were saying I think. You make a solid point, the bar has literally been set so low. personally I have no one to blame but myself. I've set the bar low thinking that it would make me more agreeable and likeable. As much as I want to dissect this man's logic, I have to say I have been inspired to not give anymore fucks. I have to keep repeating to myself that the egg doesn't swim to the sperm. Never chase a man. Ever. I know my worth and I'm worth more tha…

Definitely. I think the language is harsh on purpose. There's no candy coating that most men will say or do anything to get in your pants.

This excerpt initially left me feeling flabbergasted. To hear this from a male perspective was almost as sobering as some of the information I've learned off of this sub. On the flip side of that I see what you're getting at. It's like we have to act a certain way in order to find love. What's wrong with just being ourselves? Surely a HVM would have standards and morals so that we don't have to play detective every step of the way but apparently those are few and far between.

I think this is why some women take back their power by dressing how ever they want. The only reason I used to not wear a bra was to not offend other people who might catch a glance and subsequently treat me differently. Otherwise, bras for me are uncomfortable and a waste of money. Same goes for shaving, wearing concealer and just being "lady like" in general. Excuse me, I'm not "like a lady" I am a human being and I can act in what ever way makes me and the people I care about happy.

I remember having a negative opinion of her as a teen. I think mainly because she was a sex symbol and was idolized by practically all of the boys in my age group. Which I look back now and realize that this fire is flamed by the hive mind and is totally unfair to her as a person. Hollywood created that image for her, all the while she was willing to do whatever it took to get the role, just like anyone else in that industry would who is trying to make it big.

Yeah stringing someone along is shitty and yeah people shouldn't do that. eventually ya gotta learn that guys will pretty much do or say anything to get in to your pants. I'm 28 and just learned this hard truth to swallow. I feel so naive, but also more empowered because I know not to give myself to a person who is not invested in getting to know me or willing to commit to me.

As I get older, I have an evolved understanding of the phrase "can't live with them, can't live without them."

There are so many more derogatory words aimed at women, but there are just as many men having sex. Talk about a double standard.

Yes. And I think for the most part women have just been putting up with it. Boys will be boys.. nah sis I want a MAN. A HVM to be exact. 👸 Call these little boys out on their BS.

I can almost guarantee that if a girl said shit like this she would instantly be labelled as such and no guy would treat her with respect. Plus can you imagine all of the STDs??? Gross. No thank you.

Who just says yes to that? IDGAF what you look like bro, if I don't know you I'm not even entertaining the idea. If a dude even so as hints at sex on his profile/in a message, NEXT!

I just went to Barnes and Noble and read this book! Girl, I have been going about this whole dating scene all the wrong ways. This realization has been LIFE CHANGING and there's no looking back.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
