He probably has never met anyone so stupid yet bold enough like that reporter. When I met or shared the room with ultra smart people, I knew to shut up and listen and talk only if I really knew my shit. Reporters don't have in depth knowledge of any topic in the world. This wasn't some class project. It was probably the highlight of his career, something which will be a significant memory for him. Imagine if someone ruins it like this for you. Not a pussy. He probably never heard of anything like this. The reporter was American and third wave feminist from America are usually obnoxious. He simply wouldn't know people would get offended by a shirt he probably has been wearing for a long time. He genuinely felt he was doing something wrong. You don't see. This type of fake reactions are expected in companies dealing with consumers. Not from people who have nothing to do with other humans. Environments where people like him work usually are lax about attire and social skills so they can concentrate more on the real work on not the bullshit. I don't think he was forced to do this. This is simply a very unfortunate incident. I hope someone gives him the message that he wasn't wrong in the slightest.

A more important question than whether free will exists or not is the question of how you let the 'belief' in free will affect your life. There is no way to definitely prove whether free will exists or not since we still don't have a definitive answer to what constitutes life and consciousness. Lack of free will may justify all criminal activities which doesn't 'sound' correct.
