Mir kommt generell vor, dass sich relativ gesehen sehr viele Deutsche und Österreicher hier befinden. Aber vielleicht bilde ich mir das nur ein, weil man im Internet automatisch annimmt unter Amerikanern zu sein.

The centralized high school final examination in Austria is designed to adapt the overall difficulty level to the lowest common denominator, and now, the final exams (in Math at least) are a fucking joke - no matter the gender. Also, I don't think anyone has thought about the fact that only 36% of boys make it through high school vs 51% of the girls. This would definitely skew the percentage of the mentioned findings, since it could very well be possible that the boys that would fail the final e…

Happens to the best of us. When it happens, the only thing you can do is to laugh it off. For the next, you must not under any circumstances feel pressured and anxious about your erection, 'cause that's the most likely reason you are not getting it up. Never forget that she will think it's her fault, so it's actually more awkward for her than for you.

I do believe you. You can argue with anomalies! However, what I am saying is that just having a small sample size does not automatically infer that the statistic isn't sound as long as representativeness is given. Admittedly, I only read the abstract, but from the sample size mentioned in the abstract, I wouldn't see a problem. Still, most sociological studies don't really hold up when repeated.
/r/TheRedPill18/01/16 09:59 PM

Sample size is fine if the sample group is representative of the whole set (humans), which - admittedly, at first glance - seems alright. I'd go with /u/bardolatta's explanation.

Don't do it. It communicates that you still aren't over the rejection and most importantly, this will give you a bad rep. Instead, don't accept exclusivity and implicitly (don't say it out loud, merely subtly imply through your actions) that your SMV is higher than hers now and that you are better than her. That's the best and only 'revenge' you are gonna get.

Honestly, how could you possibly come to the conclusion that this is a good copywriting course after having seen the absolutely horrible web presence? Also, if I understood this correctly, the guy basically charges you for literally COPYing entire texts and sells it as copywriting?! Dude...

I had a friend who broke his leg and consequently had to use a wheelchair and, after that, crutches. He was one crazy motherfucker and rolled (literally haha) with us to the clubs and bars and still pulled ass like crazy. Why? He was pretty muscular and had awesome game. Also, he perfected the IDGAF attitude. He was dancing in a wheelchair and on crutches (and he probably still danced better than most of us!). Bottomline, same rules still apply. You can do anything.

This just shows that liberal arts mainly is a big fat cake of bullshit with a cherry on top. The whole thing is a parade of weak speculation and ideology fueled agenda represented by "I guess..." and "I think that...". Shit like that shouldn't fly in academia; instead, everyone and their feminist single mother complain that these bullshitters should basically be paid like engineers.

Okay then. The way I see it, after you have optimized your efficiency while doing work, you have two options: 1.) Power through and go essentially monk mode without much social contact for the rest of your degree. 2.) Take less courses and add an Ehrensemseter or two. You'd also have to think about whether you wanna be an engineer for the rest of your live. In order to move up to management and sooner or later every good engineer is confronted with this decision, you must have VERY GOOD social s…

Are you 100% positive that there aren't any study groups? This seems so unreal to me, that I would speculate that you either asked the wrong people or you asked a person who didn't want you to be in the group. Anyway, if there really aren't any study groups, found your own! Ask a few of your colleagues to study together, to compare notes on homework, help each other out, etc. This is what leaders do; taking charge and responsibility! Okay fellow neighbor, since I am from a neighboring and culturally very similar country, I think I can give you some advice. I, myself, also study a very high maintenance technical degree. However, I cannot see how you would be spending so much time just for university. How many ECTS credits are you taking?? If more than 30 you have to drop out of a few classes. Definitely depends on the type of light you are using. Any kind of artificial light will fuck up your sleep cycle. Normal light bulbs are okay. The very act of reading should facilitate sleep; I always read before going to bed and it helps me a great deal.

The thing is I'm totally agnostic. I never was religious my whole life so far. There is enough evidence to warrant the concept of God, just not enough to prove it. The only thing that I'd deny completely is that he is "good" or has "morals" in a classical (human) sense.
/r/askTRP03/11/15 03:40 PM

I really don't wanna break off an argument about religion, but rationally speaking you can't believe in a just and merciful God. There just isn't any evidence that God gives a damn.

Dopamine probably plays a role too I'd imagine, but my main point is that the blue light emitted by artificial light sources makes your brain think it's still day outside instead of night - therefore fucking up your natural clock and your melatonin balance. Another tip: sleep in complete darkness. Also, research has shown that sleep before 24:00 is significantly better!

I really, really hate when people use scientific concepts to lend credibility to their theories. This is nothing but pseudoscience. It's entirely hypothetical and while I (nonetheless) happen to agree with this post, the fact that you draw parallels between Fermi's Paradox and human relationships that don't exist really makes your whole premise weak. It just does not make sense to entertain this analogy. EDIT: clarity

You speak my mind exactly, although I have to admit that this kind of thinking is part of unplugging to some degree. When you suddenly wake up to the fact that all the notions and assumptions of how society works are wrong, of course you can get caught up in details and overdo it. I'd definitely cut her loose forever - no exceptions. The fact that she is indirectly accusing you of threatening her and being psycho proves her willingness to lie, manipulate and cheat. Most people have some sort of line when it comes to this; she clearly doesn't. This can be very dangerous to you in today's society, but even apart from that: you don't want a relationship where you have to be dealing with this.

I have no issue with the frontline grunts. Like I said, I absolutely respect the soldiers and veterans. They volunteer for an illusion: the illusion that they are actually fighting for something worth fighting for. And their intentions and the fact that they risk their lives for it I respect. But I know better and wouldn't recommend everyone not to become a pawn for the corrupt elite.

I was studying for a year in the US (coming from Europe) and I was astonished on how unpopular the coffee date was with girls. It felt awkward and after asking a few american friends of mine, they told me that it is; nobody does that really. Fighting for no fucking reason other than when your life is in actual danger is stupid in modern society. Next time, go discretely to one or two bystanders and ask them if they saw and go to the gym management. The asshat in question lost his gym membership by offering to fight you in the parking lot. In modern day politically correct everybody-be-comfortabel-mmkay culture, you now feel unsafe and want him removed. You win.

Refuses to speak English? What the hell did you get yourself into... On to the constructive criticism: the most important thing for you is to always be in tune of what you want. At the moment, this reads to me like you don't always consciously know what you want. Then you fall into somebody else's frame, which brings assumptions such as: the laptop doesn't fit in the suitcase (for her, everything in the suitcase is more important than the laptop). Assumptions and preconceived notions are basical…

People in general get fatter. It's because few giant corporations convince people to eat shitty food (for the most part, people don't really care in the first place). The anti-fat-shaming movement is a natural result of people becoming fatter on average as it grows harder and harder to eat healthily.
/r/TheRedPill11/10/15 10:18 PM

When someone yells at you, you have two options: 1.) Tell them to calm down, repeatedly if necessary. For outside spectators this immediately puts you in the favorable position, because yelling is always a sign of losing an argument. By staying calm yourself you contrast this perfectly. 2.) Don't answer and walk away. Someone disrespects you by yelling, you remove yourself and therefore your value. It also shows that you don't put up with bullshit. (<--my favorite option)

For the protocol, you are actually the bad guy here. You made your intentions clear and she said no. From this point on, you are no longer respecting her decision. But in all honesty, I just answer with yes and no. The thing is, if you add "but my friends are/did ... ..." then it comes off as trying to justify yourself. Therefore you are failing the shit test. If you don't add any details to your yes/no, you don't seem like you are qualifying yourself. If you're looking for something more textbook: agree and amplify. I had girls suggesting I should look for another girl; I think they just wanna hear that they're special (for example: "no, it's okay. sometimes one makes mistakes" or "no, I'm here with you"). Ignoring the suggestion usually worked for me. Most definitely a good idea to drink the wine at your place. Personally, I always have two glasses and a bottle of wine in my bedroom. When I get back home with a girl from going out, I can head straight for the bedroom and set the tone.

Easy one. She had more too drink than she could handle and fucked up. Then she realized her mistake (probably by your reaction) and went into damage control mode. The suggestion that you should have sex with another girl was either a means to gauge your interest or intended to prompt something along the lines of "no, I want you alcoholic girl" or both. I wouldn't even respond. Don't waste your time on disloyal 'friends'. EDIT: I just saw that you spoke with them in person? High probability of being a scam. Why else would she wanna insist on an insane amount of money BEFORE dealing with the baby-question?! There is no reason why you can't handle these two things at once. Secondly, I don't know much about American laws, that's why I would consult a lawyer on this, but there might be a possibility that since the child is not born on US American soil you are not 'responsible' for it in the eyes of US law.

Actually, I think you handled it pretty well. Leaving was the right response. It signalizes that you don't accept her behavior without losing frame by engaging in an argument. You punish bad behavior by removing your value from the setting. However, throwing the drink was a mistake. If you hadn't thrown the drink you'd have the "I am the bigger person" bonus, e.g. it could have looked pretty butt-hurt. Also, I second /u/abdada 's advice on getting help in /r/marriedredpill.

If you're sexually unhappy and that's not about to change easily, I'd say divorce her; of course take your local divorce law into consideration! You can gain experience in the bedroom and make yourself a better man, so that you can marry (if you still wanna marry at that point that is ;)) a 25 year old girl when you are, say, 35. This time on your terms with your newfound refined sexual preferences from having explored them instead of staying in your unwanted marriage.

I had the very same problem when I was in my late teens. For me, I think it was mainly because of self-esteem issues. Firstly, I started putting her down in my mind to get her down to my level, since I felt like I was reaching (low self esteem). Subsequently, this created the problem that my 'ego' believed what my 'id' created (ego, it ... Freudian terminology) and therefore I lost interest. Secondly, back in my teens, I really cared about what other people thought of me and I saw women as a mea…

Does it really matter if a story on the internet really happened? I don't think so; with 7.2 billion people on Earth, somehow, somewhere it must have already happened anyway. Still, I agree with what has been said about the contractions; while they do fit with the general writing style, it throws me off. Your short and poignant descriptions just don't resonate well with me personally - probably due to your extended use, as this can be a very nice stylistical device.

Depends on the social circle you are moving in, but as a realist (haha) I can tell you this: human nature won't change just because it's "university" now.

Why do optimists always think realists are pessimists? There is no one true stance on anything.

If you feel insecure about dancing, take a look at everybody else. Regardless of gender, almost everyone looks absolutely ridiculous. That's how it works. Because you are not primarily on the dance floor to look good but to have fun.

First of all, I don't want to have a discussion of politics here. I'm merely pointing out what I think is the main reason people vote for Trump, which is - coincidentally /s - related to the post. Secondly, Democrats are not happy about Trump and scenario 2 does not make any sense. They are not happy about it, because Trump is closing in on Hillary in the polls.

The hardest part of studying for me is to actually start. Convince yourself to just get all the materials ready. After you have done this, the next step is easier and you take it step by step from there. The reason why PCs and other electronics suck away our time is because of what psychologists call availability heuristics: it's much easier to get your fix of dopamine by pressing the ON button on your PC instead of finding all the notebooks and materials you require to study etc. What I said be…

There is a reason why Donald Trump is so popular - because he is the polar opposite to what the political correctness culture and the SJWs propagate. Personally, I see Trump as the US American people's (allergic) reaction to all the current socio-political bullshit. It will take some time, but England is gonna get their own Trump soon enough.

Sure, you definitely have a point there. Still, the risk remains. My personal choice would be to minimize risk as much as possible. 30 minutes of my time is a small price to pay to avoid potential court or further police hassle and that's not even considering the costs of such 'hassle'.

The right course of action in the US would be to calmly request a lawyer; if necessary they will probably take you to the station. Do not consent to have your bag or pail searched and wait until your lawyer arrives. I'd recommend watching this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wXkI4t7nuc

Personally - and I realize that most men probably disagree with me here - I consider all of it unacceptable behavior. If my girl is doing sexual stuff with another girl, I consider it to be the same as if she was doing it with a man. That being said, I also do not like threesomes. Bottomline is, it's important to know what you want! If you don't like it, communicate that and be prepared to do what's necessary based on your values.

ALWAYS prepare for the worst and hope for the best. This advice sounds reasonable, but ironically people tend to follow it vice versa. Assuming it's all just paranoia, fact is that it has happened in the past. Prepare for the worst. Even if unlikely as fuck. Disclaimer: it's not paranoia. When the government/society provides big incentives for something it certainly happens more often than not.

I do agree on the indoctrination, but I suppose you would have to come to terms with it in a community like this. To some degree TRP is an ideology (in which deviating opinions are silenced), it would not work otherwise.

Right from the side bar: The Red Pill: Discussion of sexual strategy in a culture increasingly lacking a positive identity for men. "Discussion[s] about feminists, female presidents, beta males, divorce-rape, tumblr nonsense, sexism, rape culture" are part of the problem why men rarely find a positive masculine identity. Discussing the problem is part of finding a solution. Hence, what you would call, whining; although I am absolutely sure, that most of the posts are not actually whiny as you wo…

The flaw within your little train of thought is that the many worlds are orthonormal to each other and therefore cannot - by definition - interact with each other; which makes your whole point void. Also, infinity is in fact not a constant; actually mathematically speaking there are different kinds of infinities. Please pick up a university level book on either Mathematics or Physics. My personal recommendation would be "Introduction to Quantum Mechanics" by David Griffiths. What you are doing h…

How exactly is the Many-World Interpretation "rubbish to begin with"? It's an interpretation just as valid as the Copenhagen Interpretation and certainly has the same problem: that it is for now unprovable by any current physical methods. However, I still agree with the stupidity of this post. Even if it would make sense to introduce an analogy or comparison to anything QM-related, I'd like it to be factually correct. Don't argue with feminists. But for your personal 'inner' debate, consider the following. How many books do publishing houses, agencies, etc. receive every day? They receive thousands and thousands of books. Resubmitting her book probably got a different person in a different mood with different opinions judging her work. Even if it was the same person, the agent probably does not even remember reading it the first time (if s/he read it in the first place).

You never really gave reasons supporting the thesis communicated in your title. While I would agree that 3rd wave feminism has not YET come to Europe, nothing guarantees this for the future. Also, there are definitely signs that this could potentially change in the future. Low quality post with practically meaningless anecdote.

By accepting the premise that it is important to have a better social life, you are falling into her frame. It's not important how other people think you should be spending your time. Other people's priorities on spending time should not bother you. YOU have to be happy with the amount of social life you have. You want to go out? Go. You want to stay in? Stay in. You want to study, because long-term goals are more important than short-term hedonism? Study. JUST DO WHAT YOU WANT. It's about your …

Sometimes you have to make up your minds about your priorities: focus more on the relationship or focus more on business. Since relationships must be assumed to end at some point (you have to take risks based on the worst case scenario), while focusing on business brings you long-term benefits, obviously the rational decision is to keep focusing on business. Of course, that does not automatically mean the end of relationship. As for the rest, I totally agree with Archwinger's advice.
