MensRights is, funnily enough, about the rights of men. Which should not include making sweeping derogatory remarks about the other gender. Unless we want to become just like the feminists we mock.

While I agree her sentence is ridiculously light, is there any evidence to support the assertion that the decision by the judge was influenced by sexism? Edit: While it is entirely possible, there may or may not have been other factors/reasons for this decision. I don't quite think we should bandwagon/pitchforking without knowing the details. It's rather premature. Edit 2: To people going "hurr durr, obviously it was because she was woman, can you imagine if it was a man?"... you guys realize th…

However, Godwin's law only applies when it's an inappropriate reference (in this case). However, it is sometimes reasonable/appropriate to mention Nazism/Hitler in certain arguments if it applies. (see Usage section on wikipedia)

I fully understand the definition of anarchy, and yes, I would prefer not to have it happen (at least on a long-term basis). I don't want a lawless, anything-goes society. Is that so bad? Our current system may have issues, but it has not already gone past the point of redemption. It's not as oppressive as some other countries that have experienced social unrest (Egypt, Syria, China). Maybe that time will come soon, but not yet.

You cannot link SRS to leftists. Just because a wide majority of SRS'ers may be leftist (which you have no idea if so, but sure, maybe), it does not reflect accurately on leftists as a whole. Plenty of leftists, including me, are MRAs and don't condone this message. Once again, right-leaning people pathetically eager to link anything bad to leftists! O wait, see what I did there?

Isn't the end result the same? Making rules ensures that freedoms are not abused, b/c unfortunately, it isn't a perfect world. Without rules, it would be anarchy. Schools need rules. Or students would just walk out of class when bored. Talk to each other and ignore teachers. Do whatever that want.

I meant that as in, there should be a few rules, but students shouldn't have all their rights taken away. For example, our freedom of speech protects a lot of things, but you're still not allowed to yell "fire" in a movie theater.

Freedom of speech is limited in some sense, but it's usually to stop verbal abuse, acting up constantly in class, that kinda thing. Schools need a few rules, or it'd be chaos. I'm pretty sure courts would side with the student in this case, as it is a matter of expressing opinion in a non-abusive way. Also, I'm liberal, and I'm against students being stripped of their rights. Please don't generalize and bs.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
