I drove for Uber for a bit (going to start again) and had no issues with people. Had a couple funny drunks (make sure you child lock the windows) and no bad experiences.

Keyword kinda. You do or you don't, if she does she's ready to swing anyhow.

Why not both? Once your done the academy you'll probably work a schedule that would support a side job. Know lots of guys who do real estate and landscaping on their days off from police work.

Honestly I always look at it, for the decision part, I make the best decision I can with the information I have. For the other parts I would look at where you are successful in life and mimic it in your other areas. In my career I am tremendously successful and if I get that guy in a social scene I'd be much better off. I'll get there, but gotta take it one day at a time. I don't think anyone is bulletproof, McGregor is an actor playing a role plain and simple.

Well, you appear to have a plan and you know where your issues are so my suggestion is ease up on yourself a bit. First, there are exercises you can do while injured (YouTube is your friend). My sister just recently injured her foot (requiring surgery) and she's found a ton of videos for people who are non-weight bearing. Get to Googling. Second, colleges (in my experience) are usually pretty willing to work with you when life happens. We're all adults and we all know when it rains it pours. I t…

Personally, I think this will speak volumes to your boss about your character. Admitting a mistake is a big deal and tells people a lot about the integrity of your character. When I began my career years ago I was always honest. Didn't agree with something? I let them know. Screwed up? Let them know. Had a better way? Let them know. That had garnered me a lot of respect and getting duties beyond my pay grade. Fact is management learns they can come to you for an honest take and that you aren't d…

Sounds to me like you know what to do...ghost her! I slipped up and fell right back into orbit...don't be me!

Don't over analyze. You nexted her, leave it at that. Don't hold out the hope that it means anything because you'll either be in orbit or told no again.

My buddy ended up going for a Masters in Social Work. He's always loved helping people (spent two spring breaks in other countries building houses for the poor). To my amazement he found a job instantly, making decent cash and enjoys what he does (works in a hospital). My suggestion is figure out what you want to do. If it's being a lawyer, great, but don't waste your time and money on something you're really not interested in. Believe me, they weren't protecting their egos or jobs. Law schools …

Maybe you're misinterpreting what she said. She feels nothing for you and nothing for him thus she feels the same about you both. I say you dodged a bullet now's the time to focus on you and what you want. That succubus got three years of your life and now you get to start fresh. Sucks and it's going to hurt a bit, but soon enough you'll see it for the blessing that it is. Once a cheater always a cheater and yeah kiss is code for "fucked hard" for two weeks.

You need much better reasons before even considering law school. Daddy issues and "liking to argue" are two reasons that aren't going to help you with the three year journey that is law school. Shitty GPA? Better get some damn near perfect LSAT scores if you are aiming for top 50. I'd take a long hard look at what exactly you'd like to do with your life. I had a buddy in a similar position, Communications degree and couldn't find a job. On a whim he says "I like to argue I'm going to go to law s…

Yup! My supervisor says things all the time (he's RP without knowing about it) and 95% of the time he gets a laugh. The other 5% of the time he's ignored or get a "fuck off" face. If that's the worst thing to happen pretty sure anyone can get over it.

Been reading here a few weeks and finally been putting it to the test. Tonight was a prime example of "just saying something" that was at least relevant. On the train home, saw three girls who struggled to put their bags in the overhead bins and one struggle again to get them down for their stop. As she walked past me I said "you did a bang up job getting those bags". She laughed and said thanks. World didn't end and lesson is learned.

MyFitnessPal and figure out the macros (Fats/Carbs/Proteins). Hit the cardio big time by running. I do 3 to 5 miles three days a week and follow the macros, it's done wonders. https://healthyeater.com/flexible-dieting-calculator <---use this calculator and set activity level to "Sedentary".

I've been running since January (3 to 6 miles three days a week) and while I haven't gotten to the point where I love it if I miss a day it messes with my head quite a bit. There is definitely something meditative about running and my hope is that I start loving soon.

Definitely don't ask. As Red said, she'll lie and this is needy as hell. Accept it and move on.

I work with lawyers on a daily basis and have for years. Give you some props because they are a pain in the ass. What I think will work to your advantage, and I'm a Beta here so take it with a grain of salt, is the difference in careers. When she spoke about the cursing that to me says she isn't looking for high brow suit wearing jack asses. I'd equate it to a DA being with a cop. Really easy, especially for female lawyers who are even just ok looking, to get everything handed to them. They want…

Is there not something to be gained from future prospects by having her still as a friend?

I responded four hours later and then went for a run. No response, so about what I expected. My guess is I won't be hearing from her anymore, which is the second best outcome for me!

I think I'm done. I made my intentions known and tend to think I'm being setup for orbiter status. Appreciate the advice!

Asked her out, told me she was going on a mini-vacation that day (she didn't leave till very late the night of or the next day so could have feasibly gone out with me) no offer of a alternative day.

What's your background? This analysis intrigued me big time.

Agree 100%, this was the exact scene I was referencing. I was especially floored when she brought up that his father's best friend sent people to kill her as a baby (as you brought up). My thought, if my grandfather was a woman he'd be my grandmother, what's your point? He didn't do it, his father didn't do it why are you holding it against him?

Had to laugh at this! I found TRP last Thursday and had been reading all weekend. I turned on Game of Thrones on Sunday and as I'm watching there was a scene where all I could think was "look at this bitch whining continually get over it!". Eyes are open now!

Awesome post! A lot of your points, even though I am beta, are spot on and have worked for me big time or I've seen them work (my buddy used Point 1 all the time and slays it)! Point 6 remembering names is a biggie! I was out a few weeks ago and a buddy introduced us to two female coworkers of his (HB4 and HB5 - though both were extremely nice). People typically refer to me by my last name and as such introduce me to friends using it. The plus is while my last name is short, it's not a normal la…

Ultra beta/orbiter. A couple weeks ago thought I was hitting it off with a woman and finally asked her out (to something she said she wanted to do). Two hours to get a reply of "oh I'm leaving for vacation that day". Past stuff I had read always said no attempt to reschedule means no interest and I became royally pissed off. Especially since we were talking about a half hour date and she didn't leave until the following day (yes displaying my betaness and oneitis). Came across TRP with some Goog…
