Carbs are my weakness. I have aspergers and sugar instantly makes me feel better. It has an instant calming effect (I deal with incredible amounts of stress every day due to sensory issues and forced socialization). My understanding is that this problem is not uncommon for people on the spectrum. I could go on antidepressants, but that is a very quick way to gain an extra unwanted 30+ pounds. I wonder if keto could help kill the sugar craving, though.

And based on my BMR I should be consuming 1,300 daily calories.

Wow-this is great! Do you use an app for tracking these foods daily? I am now aware of which foods to eat, but I am concerned about getting the ratios right (70% fat). My Fitness Pal maybe? Also, what are you thoughts on keto treats? Since this approach is quite aggressive, I want to make sure I can sustain it. I know one person who creates recipes like chocolate chip cookies (almond flour, sugar free chocolate chips, etc.) that are keto. Thanks again!

Exactly! I was just commenting that her posts are very harsh and it makes me feel as though she doesn't enjoy the life she is living.

Fellow Catholic here! That is awesome that you know who she is. I have been itching to talk to someone about her. I actually know a couple on Facebook and oddly the husband comments regularly on the Transformed Wife's page. He agrees wholeheartedly with everything she has to say, which makes me feel so sad for my friend. There is a harshness that comes out of most if not all of her posts. I almost feel like she must have a very domineering husband (to the point of cruel) and she took some specif…

I think that my issue is reaching for carbs for mood. I have a lot of issues (aspergers) so sensory type stuff, stress, anxiety. Carbs are a problem, especially at night. I do have pretty decent self control during the day, but I tend to overindulge a little at night. What do you use to count macros? An app? I am not sure what a good macro profile would look like for me.

Use The Ordinary products by Deciem! Very affordable and super effective. I, too, have little time as I am a mom who works outside the home with 2 under 5. My current routine is all about looking polished. Under-eye concealer, brow powder, mascara, blush and lipstick can achieve a put-together look in 5 minutes.

A lot of what she writes about aligns pretty neatly, other areas not so much. What do others think of the idea of headship from a biblical perspective?

What is a good club to be a part of if you are more socially awkward (aspergers). I love being involved and helping (beauty of feminine nature), but my place isn't in the spotlight. I would love to know how others feel!

Learn how to optimize goal attainment by learning how to break down tasks. This is a huge challenge as I have task overwhelm thanks to aspergers :).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
