That sounds like a great idea, there are so many intellectual and eloquent queens on this sub. The thought of having FDS-themed books out there sounds so fulfilling indeed

If you do please share it with the sub, we need more fictional HVW❤

It really sounds like your boyfriend is super insecure and hence is attacking your self-esteem for it. He's resentful because he could have been in your position too had he played his cards right. And it'll be this way for a very long time unless you walk away honestly. This loop of showing you love then giving you war is unhealthy and no HVM would do that. No HVM would be threatened by their partner's achievements, they'd uplift you instead. Your friends are right, you need to walk away, and i …

So sorry for the late reply!! Not sure if you still need it, but reddit underwent a recent banwave and a number of women-only spaces got banned (while subs consisting of men fetishising problematic kinks are still up and running). There is a possibility this sub might get banned but I hope not. This is one of the only safe spaces we have and we need more FDS-like spaces online. An FDS site has been made though, in case anything goes south. Hope this helps!

Woke up seeing the news and feeling incredibly disheartened + stressed out about how to back up whatever posts I needed for myself before anything happens Thank you so much for compiling this, you're an angel.

And yet we're the emotional/dramatic ones? I'm so glad you're no longer with a loser like him, it's sad how being verbally abusive is so common with many gamer guys

As a twice fan i'm upset Chaeyoung was used for such a distasteful meme, sweetie i'm so sorry Also i've been seeing girls use this meme format too. E.g. my boyfriend choosing my ugly ass instead of all the pretty girls. Why does it seem to be a trend to put yourself down and place your partner on a pedestal? I used to find these humorous and even relatable till it sunk in how deprecating they are. Your self-worth/perception of your own attractiveness shouldn't be defined by your partner.

He's a POS. Men are taught it's okay - even praiseworthy - to put themselves first, women are taught to consider men in everything we do. It's no wonder they don't bother self-examining and betterment, the level of entitlement is so disheartening.

God, that's repulsive. You're right, i've heard so many incidents of significantly older men hitting on teen girls, and it's happened to me too and to my friends. What goes through the minds of these sick bastards...i don't even wanna know. And it's sad how society just tells us "Well, that's how men are like. Get used to it."

I'm actually turning 18 this year and i agree. It hit me more than ever this year how hypersexualised my age group is. They'll even sexualise teenage girls wearing school uniforms ffs, it's endless. And to some extent i was led to believe i need to be sexual just because guys online would only ever talk to me about that, and think i'm prudish if i don't actually want to discuss such matters with them. It's so common seeing girls my age feed into this hypersexualisation too that it became an inse…

I love this omg😂 I was deluded into thinking shit like this enhances your sex life that's why women do it, but after FDS I will never get how watching your guy get off to other women is something any lady would wanna sit through. On another note tiktok is a cesspool of hate comments so take time to detox from the app if it gets too much💕

This was what happened in my previous relationship too. He would regularly text at the start, then slowly it just sort of dwindled down into breadcrumbing. Kept making excuses like looking at his phone screen hurts his eyes (yet i guess gaming for hours doesn't?) and that he's bad at texting/bad at relationships. But really, it ultimately shows he's not investing in you as much as you are in him. You're not being needy, your standards are valid and you've already communicated this to him. The ba…

I feel i have been taught FDS standards by some women in my life in little ways (like my mum and my sister), but i was too set in seeking validation for my insecurities by being people's doormat that it's only hitting me now, hard. On top of that i constantly followed "advice" from other pickmes on online forums so it led me to constantly second guessing myself and thinking that i'm being an asshat for having boundaries. Now that i think about it, maybe i have subconsciously resonated with FDS s…

Personally, through FDS i was able to affirm myself that my standards are valid. I always felt i was a prude for not liking guys who smoke/drink, because I personally do not like it either. And I felt i was no fun because i used to resent my ex for spending so much time gaming to the point I was often neglected. I know better now, that being the "nice girl" or the "cool girl" that accepts your guy's gaming and smoking habits as who they are will get you nowhere. Smoking/gaming is not a personali…

Reading this post and your response i feel you've definitely grown more wiser from this! It really was a lesson learned. And you're right, when someone isn't ready, it really means just that. Even if i were some other woman, it wouldn't change his laziness about keeping up the relationship. Here's to leveling up for you and i both💕

This was how i felt in my most recent (and first ever) relationship. I feel I was love-bombed, because i stupidly agreed to his request to being exclusive after a few days of knowing each other. But what started out as a rather passionate relationship quickly turned into an anxiety fest for me. The last few months of the r/s he wld say he gets tired and even LAZY keeping up with a relationship, and instead of being angry at him i was angry at myself. I blamed myself for being "not good enough" t…

I had also quite recently broken up so I understand how you feel. What I did for the first few days following the break-up was surround myself with friends and my family. I know now with covid that isn't physically possible (if you live alone, that is), but even phone calls to vent or just talk to them really helps. I had to remind myself that I have other forms of love in my life (platonic, familial), and while I did lose romantic love, it does not mean I am completely isolated and loveless. I …

Wow..it's terrifying how someone who seems like your cookie-cutter boyfriend can be just as damaging or if not more so than a boyfriend that isn't superficially perfect. I have seen posts on here going on about how just cause a men is successful in his career, etc. does not make him a HVM but i guess as i've only had one partner thus far and am rather new to FDS there's still a lot i have to learn. I'm so glad you levelled up from that, guys like him really ain't shit and you deserve only the be…

I can't imagine how that near decade must have been like, but i'm so glad you got out of it. While it is natural to mourn the time spent on a man like that, i hope you have also commended yourself for getting back on your feet and leaving him. And the way you described him as "a man who wanted to be a boy forever" really hit close to home, my ex was like that too to an extent, we were together for around a year till i got to my senses and left him behind. And i also do empathise with women that …

Fr. Back when i was with my ex and having trouble getting him to match my efforts in our relationship (because he was just being lazy and stringing me along nothing more to that), i followed relationship advice as i didn't know any better. I actually believed all the advice about "communicate more with him!!!" but obviously no amount of communicating could change how your toxic partner CHOOSES to treat you. Once i broke up with him and discovered FDS i unfollowed that subreddit for good and now …

Gosh, that hurts to read. Really telling of how he views her (and women in general), i hope she comes to her senses and leaves this relationship.

The point of the list thing is to flag out what HE has done, not you. Of course a relationship takes 2 hands to clap, it consists of mistakes on both sides. It's okay to examine where you went wrong too, but don't lump that in with the bad things he did. I examine the areas i went wrong as learning points, not things to bash myself over. Although it was hard to get over the guilt at first, i eventually realised just cause i acted that way does not mean i have no chance at working on myself. I do…

I was in your shoes a few weeks ago, and i can say i feel way better post-breakup. Even if it hurts now and then, you'll be making the right decision. All the best! You're dodging a bullet by not staying with him even longer, really.

Hey there, it's my first time giving advice (or trying to, rather) on this sub so forgive me if it isn't so helpful. First, i know it's hard but you have to keep actively stopping yourself from checking his social media. As someone that had just broken up w an LVM i face this struggle too. Keep telling yourself that even if you check up on him, you won't like what you see, and you don't deserve that. Why give yourself more things to analyse when you don't even know what truly goes on in his life…

Holy shit, as someone who has just broken up w/ my LVM of 1 year this really reinforced for me that he was a toxic partner. He doesn't specifically fall into any type, but has trait(s) from different types (except 3, 7 and 8). Thank you for posting this, it's been tough accepting i made the right decision (as due to past trauma i tend to blame myself for the way he treated me) but i really know i dodged a bullet with this one.

I'm new here so i'm not so knowledgeable but i think men like this just view women as a bragging/venting outlet. They don't care about who you are as a person, they just want someone to project all their frustrations/insecurities onto in hopes of hearing you say "yeah you're right your exes were awful and you're such an amazing man!!1!!1!". They tell you they "miss" you but it's not YOU they miss, it's the routine of having someone at their beck and call listening to all their rants when no one …
