First of all, women are not some "alien creature" that you "have to interact with." You are going on a trip to Mexico with fellow human beings who happen to be women. As long as you are respectful in your interactions and take care to learn from social situations, you should be more than fine. Treat this as an adventure, but more importantly, a learning opportunity (not just for Spanish, but life in general). In fact, you may surprise yourself at the positive interactions you may have.

My point was more directed against people who say "all women are not the same" as if women's preferences are randomly aligned and there just so happens to be a woman who prefers your traits. My argument here is that these preferences are not randomly aligned, even if they are different across a number of variables. Therefore, in many cases, there is a "right thing to do" with women given certain cultural and social variables. Obviously we can't extend this universally, but I think it's safe to a…

I think there's a difference between conservatism and the red pill, though. In this case, conservatism is advocating a "load-bearing" practice that is (or can be) detrimental to individuals/individual choice but is believed to be good for society in the long run (greater population to ensure continuity of society). The red-pill, however, seems to fundamentally be about hedonism, to maximize your own personal odds. Imo, red-pillers (especially those who advocate "body count" and being "alpha male…

Perhaps it's not merely what you say, but what you come across as. Asking someone out is just as much about nonverbal cues as it is about verbal ones. Even if you say the right things, if you persist while they display avoidant body language or act like you're "closing in," women can easily associate you (or at the very least their experience with you) as something unpleasant or uncomfortable. It seems like you're unhealthily taking the red/blackpill route of blaming others ("she's dating some f…

One thing that works for me is to just go out and have conversations with strangers. This not only refines your social skills (which can improve your chances of asking someone out successfully), but also reinforces the idea that people aren't really judging you and can think of you pleasantly. It's very easy to internalize this idea that people think of you negatively, so this is a way of telling yourself that this isn't the case. Additionally, if you have a "happy place," try going for it or if…

Whenever I get thoughts like this, I tend to think to myself, "If not now, when?" Obviously you shouldn't just go for things when you feel like it, but if you feel like there is an opportunity, why not go for it? If the issue is with dysmorphia, ask yourself, "when will I be in the right shape?" Because from my experience, everything is just an upward journey - 2 months later you will admire people who have worked out for 2 months longer, a year later it's going to be people who've worked out a …
