The source if people are interested: http://www.facebook.com/CUSUWomen To be be fair, I think you are misinterpreting a bit of the light-hearted humor on their board that isn't really related to the main point (which you may or may not agree with).

Personally I don't think this will ever change without government intervention. To me it seems to be a natural consequence of men's higher sex drive. Men (of course this is on average) want sex more than women, and want to go places with a lot of women. Since women's sex drive is generally lower, they won't seek out men heavy places as much. To correct this imbalance bars provide economic incentives.

This seems to have been popping up more and more recently, circumcised men feeling threatened, offended or insulted by the discussion of the practice. I hope none of what I have said has contributed to this. And I expect most people in the debate are not setting out to hurt other men. For me, the decision is obvious, and does not even need to invoke any part of a man's adult life. Circumcision involves deliberately inflicting pain on a child for an unnecessary procedure. This alone should see it…

Personally I don't identify as a MRM. I follow this board because there are often topics of interest to me, but I would only ever identify as egalitarian. I think a name like feminism or men's rights just leads to in-group/out-group feelings and is less than helpful.

Actually I think /mr does have a habit of (unintionally, or not consciously) downvote brigading comments in other threads. I think what happens is when a link to something on a larger subreddit is posted here people go in, read and then vote according to there opinions. Just so happens the opinions of this subreddit are skewed heavily in one direction. It is said many times but it bears repeating: Do not downvote things you disagree with. If people write even half decent comments discussing an i…

Perhaps political opinions are more complicated than "Agrees with me on every issue" and "disagrees with me on every issue".

No, I don't think so. Apologies, but I don't see the connection to my comment.

The only real problem there is that offering to pay for the abortion is not proof of paternity. The other criticisms are just "you are using the wrong word for an idea" and could be changed with a rewrite without changing the point or the outcome of the article.

Well, the crime of "rape" specifically requires penetration with a penis. There is a separate crime of "assault by penetration" which is with any object and carries the same maximum sentence. That said, if a woman were to perform penis in vagina sex with a man against his will it would be "sexual assault" which carries a lower maximum prison term.

How do you know you would get an advantage? To me, the fact that they are asking for these people to apply more might imply that their application system is unbiased and the only way for them to get more minorities in is to have more of them apply. I won't comment on their reasons for wanting more minorities.

You shouldn't judge a film on the trailer.

My insight from living in Japan a while: The gender roles are still much more apparent in Japan. It reminds me of a western country from around 30 years ago. This hurts both genders in different ways. If you're a man the general path is to get a job in a company and progress through that company. The hours are long, but you have to make a living. When getting married you keep the same job, you wife quits hers and starts raising children. Great if you're a guy who loves your job, great if you're …

The strange thing about this: I agree with the message of all of those tips. Yes, just because you hit on someone doesn't mean they have to respond. Simplistic but right. Yes, consent is important. Don't go round grabbing people asses. Go out and flirt with people, ask them out on dates and have a mutually enjoyable time. Yes, learning to deal with rejection is an important part of the dating game. Every person you are attracted t isn't going to reciprocate. The message is stated in a gender neu…
