I am. I don’t do sex outside of marriage and I don’t want marriage or kids. Jesus, God incarnate, had all the physical failings as the rest of us. He undoubtedly had sexual desires. But He never acted on them, never took a wife. Seems like a perfect role model to me. Maybe someday the world population will decrease enough that the “be fruitful and multiply” mandate makes sense again. But we were given the ability to think and reason. I don’t think we are ever going to have a problem with not eno…

That logic is the same as saying we should remove all laws because criminals will commit crimes no matter what the law says. It’s not about 100% stopping it. It’s about drastically reducing it. It’s about not condoning barbarism.

Except it’s not her body. It’s a completely separate living entity with its own unique DNA. Abortion is all about sex without consequences, which is something that some people want so badly that they are willing to kill for it.

It’s April fools, y’all. Think about how exactly they would implement a “height verification.” Think about all the ways in which that would never work and could be easily fooled.

I also used urination in a public park. Urine smell in public park vs weed smell in public park. Exact same thing.

Brilliant argument. Maybe if you’d lay off the pot, you’d have enough surviving brain cells to think of something. You know, maybe I’ll start doing that. Find the pothead, follow him home, and take a nice fat dump on his porch. It would probably improve the smell. He can’t complain without being a hypocrite.

How about I pee on your face and you can’t ban it just because it tastes bad. Too much? Ok, how about I urinate and defecate all over your yard? Ok, well how about just all over a public park? What’s your basis for outlawing that? It smells bad? Are you seriously ok with that?

Too bad it’s a gaseous fume that spreads, meaning I don’t have a choice when all the hippies in the park are wrecking the atmosphere of the place. I used to live in OR. It was recently legalized for recreational use there. It got to the point where I couldn’t even walk in a freaking park without smelling that junk everywhere. So kindly take your hippie trash air pollutant elsewhere. Thank you.

First off, you shouldn’t be talking about your background investigation on here (!!!) Second, don’t lie. They know you’re a human being and that you are practically guaranteed to haves exes. They also know that exes are often not on good terms with people. It’s not going to ruin anything. In fact, if they blatantly lie, they can get in trouble themselves. These are smart people who are good at what they do. If you are dishonest, they WILL figure it out and you will ruin your own chances yourself…

I don’t want kids for the following reasons: I don’t want the responsibility, I don’t want the expense (I’d like to retire someday and not work myself to death), I feel there are already more than enough people, and I have a few genetic things that I’d rather not pass on. It kind of blows my mind how many people just have kids because that’s what people do. I’ve seriously heard some people say things like “huh...I’ve actually never thought about not having kids.” Tons of people with all kinds of…

It seems pretty common. I was banned from a different sub for no particular reason. They tried to say I violated one of their rules. I asked for them to tell me exactly which part of my post violated that rule...silence. I strongly suspect they just saw my post history and applied a ban. These mods can ban anybody for any petty reason, or no reason at all.

I think that fear of missing out is the biggest issue. You called it a fundamental part of the human experience. Psychologically, you could almost feel like you’re going without food. For me, I never started. I’ve had plenty of times where that fear of missing out hit me, but I can’t miss something that I’ve never experienced. I think it helps to recognize that sex isn’t some guarantee. It actually isn’t a fundamental part of the human experience any more than eating nachos is. A lot of people b…

EE, 32yo. But I only just hit six figures this year. I stayed at a job that was very much underpaying me for a while because I didn’t have the guts to make the move to change jobs. Finally did, instantly doubled my salary. I would have owned a house by now outright if I moved earlier, but I’ll get there before too long. I’ve gotten used to living cheap, so I’m banking money pretty quick now. Now I’m focusing on retiring as soon as I can. Hoping for 55-60.

Here are my thoughts on Trump. He's a national embarrassment with his rhetoric at times, especially with his tweeting. He's full of himself, or at least acts like he is - possibly compensating due to actual poor self-esteem. He's a massive braggart, the opposite of humble. If he actually is a Christian (I'm dubious), he's a poor example of one. With all that said, if you completely ignore what he says and look at what he is doing (policy), his actions align much more closely with my approval.

My view... There are some people who can be very good parents and can create a stable, loving environment. Those people should have kids. There are many people who have no business being parents, yet they do anyway (because society insists they do). This creates a hostile, unloving environment for the poor kids. They grow up to be angry, unstable individuals. I recognize that I don’t want kids for various reasons, and therefore I don’t, regardless of outside pressure. So what is the endgame? Wel…

I grew up in a very conservative Christian family as well. I still hold those views. However, I have in fact seen some wreckage from marriage. For example, I know a guy in his early 60s now who was married for about 35 years when his wife just left him. He's a really outstanding individual. Obviously I don't know details, but here are some facts. She took half of everything he had. She never worked, of course. Look up Paul’s views on marriage. Basically, he said it’s better to stay single. I’m a Christian guy who has never dated. Yep, 30+ virgin by choice. Of course I can’t relate entirely since I’ve never been married. I’m sure that’s hard. Maybe it’s been easier for me since I don’t know what I’m missing. The bottom line is, if being single is tearing you up, it’s ok to look for a Godly wife. They do exist, but they are much harder to find nowadays. Just be extremely careful. Also, don’t feel like y…

This is accurate. I’m a Christian dude and my reasons for abstinence outside of marriage are not blind obedience. I’m not big on religion - as in the practice of certain traditions and rituals just because. I really do believe the abstinence stance is designed to protect me from STDs, unintended pregnancy, and financial / emotional ruin. It’s also designed to allow me to see my fellow people as human beings, not pieces of meat. I would never marry a non-virgin (aside from perhaps widows). I’m su…

I've always thought that marriage only makes sense for virgins. People who are used to sleeping around may find it difficult to settle for just one. I've been pretty anti-marriage and anti-relationships since I was a teenager as well. I could never really figure out how to express it. I simply avoided the whole game - no dating, no high school dances, no going to parties or bars. Marriage is designed for two virgin Christians IMO, and nobody else. I think others have pretty well covered it, but I certainly do not agree that sex is an important part of physical and mental health. I’m a member of the 30+ virgin club. Physically, I’m in the best shape of my life. I can run a 5k (3.1 miles) in under 20 minutes. I’m not jacked (see runner physique), but I did recently set a personal best on the bench press - 30 pounds over my high school best. Mentally, I feel pretty well grounded. I would not. I don’t do sex outside of marriage and I would expect the same. The simple answer is for “religious” reasons, but I think we are seeing nowadays exactly why that plan used to be more common. Small anecdote. I think I was pretty clear, and we are going to have to agree to disagree here. Millions of years vs tens or even hundreds of years. Big difference. That is undeniable and simple to understand. Adaptation vs evolution is a real thing, because those numbers are massively different. Evolution is a theory, which is a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something, especially one based on general principles independent of the thing to be explained. ...not a proven fact. Yet it is tau…

I figure I should probably give an answer to the original question without getting tied up in evolution. Sorry about that... I think a lot of it is biological, societal. In Genesis, Eve was the one to take the fruit first. So when the guy fails to lead, bad things happen. I know that a lot of MGTOW issues with women relate to sexual proclivities. Women running wild in their youth, sexing up everybody in sight. The fact that Christians are supposed to stay away from sex outside of marriage, and I…

Appeal to higher authority: if I were to sit down with an evolutionary biologist, it would be like listening to an architect who designed a tower to Saturn on a small brick foundation. See how this brick foundation has worked for thousands, even hundreds of thousands of structures? We have proven it over and over and over. Sure, but you're putting an awfully massive tower on that foundation that has only supported structures measured in tens of feet... The correlation with my analogy is this: ou…

Ohhh boy here we go lol! Dog breeding: that's not evolution as I understand it. I believe that's called adaptation. Those dogs are still dogs. Humans come in various races (breeds, if you will). We're all still human. If evolution is small changes over a really long period of time, eventually amounting to very big differences such that species diverge, then we cannot possibly have witnessed it on any meaningful level. Agreed. I think the devaluation of virginity is detrimental to society. People get the reward (sex) with zero commitment. Young people don't even know what delayed gratification is anymore. It's no longer about raising a family, which is the foundation of a healthy society. It's about pleasing oneself, screw everybody else. My pleasure is my #1 priority, if we accidentally have a kid, well that's what abortion is for. If she won't go for abortion, I'm going to be stuck with child support. Sucks …

My dad's brothers' kids have paired off and had kids, and they have periodically inquired as to when I was going to do the same. My parents have made the occasional comment. I’d say yes, absolutely. I still believe that abstaining from extramarital sex is a plan designed to protect us, so I’ve basically taken a vow of celibacy. If you can do that, then do it. Paul talks about this. Remaining single is a good thing. I’ve had a few older women in the church say they would pray for me when they found out I’m single. Sex is a biological need (even Maslow's hierarchy of needs points this out) and can cause severe mental illness. Not in its entirety, no. But I think you are mixing adaptation and evolution. My view is that a difference in survival rates in the colors of a given moth (better or worse at hiding from predators in a given environment) is one thing. Taking that and extrapolating out to e.g. "humans were once paramecia" is a major stretch. Adaptation vs evolution. The moths are still moths, just slightly different colored ones. I don't know what tradcon is, but I'm assuming traditional conservative? That would describe me pretty well. the average intelligence quotient (IQ) of the children in Wamiao was found to be significantly lower (92.2 ± 13.00; range, 54-126) than that in Xinhuai (100.41 ± 13.21; range, 60-128). That tells me that the ± error range is greater than the difference between the two locations (13 is greater than 100.41 - 92.2 = 8.21). So basically, the people doing the study are saying "yeah this study is pretty inconclusive, but here's some data, at least we're getting paid lol."

This. The fluoride thing is so incredibly dumb that it makes my brain hurt. Prove to me, scientifically, that fluoride is a mind control agent. You cannot, because it isn’t.

Bigfoot is real. You will not find any actual sources that state this, but if you go outside of legitimate studies you will eventually find somebody who agrees with me. Use those sources.

I really wish people would use periods. I get a headache trying to comprehend those run-on sentences.

Not to mention she's melting the plastic white PCI slot, and that is a cheesy, cheap soldering iron that you can buy at Radio Shack and not actually the type that a technician would use on tiny components in the industry. That tip is massive relative to the tiny size of 0402 or 0201 components. Good luck with that!

My family is pretty cool about it. Little pressure from my mom, zero from my dad. I’m 31 and have never had a gf, for a little perspective. I think my mom wants grandkids, but she knows it’s not her decision. Other relatives live a ways away from me, so I don’t see them much. They haven’t said a word to me about it in probably five years. So I’d say my chances of being a lifelong bachelor are pretty high. Basically no pressure.

I know it's hard, brother. I'm 31 and single. Do you have any male buddies? I think you really need to just vent to somebody right now. Feel free to just unload, man.

Well I still live my life with sex off the tables outside of marriage, so I think I can tell you how I deal with that. I'm 31 and MGTOW due to me not wanting marriage (we all know it's a raw deal for men). Due to my belief system and how I was raised, sex is for marriage only. Yup, I'm a virgin in every form (even kissing). I've been pretty jaded about marriage since I was a teenager, so I've never actually pursued a girl at all and I've rejected all advances. If it's a Christian girl, she's goi…

It's their culture. I've read that many stay at their desk and do nothing for several hours after closing time just because nobody wants to be the first to leave.

31 here. As a Christian, being a virgin is actually pretty common and expected in my circles. So I don’t get much pressure in that regard. It’s hard to miss something you’ve never experienced. I don’t really want marriage (for many reasons), so I’ve pretty much taken a vow of celibacy at this point. I recognize that not everybody is going to pair off (mathematically more men than women), so why should I feel like relationships and sex are some kind of human right? They are not. A lot of people d…

They are in denial. Matthew 5:28: "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." In other words, if you are married, lust only for your wife. If you are not married, don't lust for any woman. The married man is doing a whole lot more than merely looking lustfully. Ask the man to show you where the Bible permits this sort of thing when "the husband knows." He won't be able to show you anything because it doesn't and he's in denial…

Most of my friends at age 18 were kissless virgins. I think it’s way more common than you may believe. I’m over 30 and I know a few others around my age in the same boat. There’s a heck of a lot more to life.

I've had a few people ask me that, but never my parents. They've actually been pretty awesome - very little pressure. Maybe an occasional "she's a nice girl, why don't you ask her out?" But not that frequent.

I can totally relate. I'm 31 and have never dated at all. I'm also somebody who thinks sex should be reserved for marriage, but I absolutely do not want to get married (for reasons that every MGTOW in here would agree with). I have other issues and reasons for my singleness, but I'm serious about my stance on sex and marriage. So it's celibacy for me. I'm very, very straight. Regarding the emotional aspect of dating, find me a woman who wants a relationship without sex and with no chance of a ri…

"She pops in and out of my life, usually when thing are bad for her, I am there for emotional support" Bro...she is just using you. You have to cut her off completely. Delete her phone number, block her, un-friend her on FB, etc. I know it's hard, but you are never going to get over her carrying on like this. More importantly, get out there and do things that make you happy, things that you enjoy. Get more involved with some male friends. Pick up a new hobby that you can enjoy with them, even if…

So would that guy willing to work the extra shift (and get paid overtime) be allowed to do that in Iceland now (equal pay requirement)? I guess he would have to work the extra shift for free, or pay all the women who didn't work the shift as well? Strange times.

I just realized that most women are basically the female Chad.... P.S. Men don't have the same wall that women do. You're still in your prime.

I'm not sure it's really possible to have meaningful friendships with women. If they are reasonably attractive and you get along well enough to be friends, you're probably going to fall for them at some point. If they are not particularly attractive, they may eventually get upset that you aren't really attracted to them. I have a few female "friends" that I interact with occasionally, even hang out sometimes. But I keep my distance from an emotional standpoint. I don't even hug them, although th…

Cutting off contact really helps me. Geographic separation really does the trick. I've been smitten a few times, and it's always been easier when you or she leaves the area. You may have to delete her number from your phone to completely remove the temptation of messaging/calling her. I once deleted my entire facebook account and stayed off it for a few years, only to remake it later and not friend her haha. If it is impossible for you to see her or get in contact with her, the mind tends to sto…

You’re not the only one, brother. I’m 31. I dare say there are a lot more of us than people think. It’s just something that has historically been associated with antisocial tendencies and/or some sort of physical problem, so it’s rarely admitted. Not as true anymore. I think that if you manage to stay clear, in spite of biological urges, you’ve successfully broken free of the one power that women have over you. I think staying a virgin is the most MGTOW thing you can do.

Wow, you sound like a slightly younger version of me. I've recently discovered TRP as well. I'm 31 and have never dated, never drank alcohol, never used drugs. As such, I've always avoided the bars/clubs and I think I understand what you mean when you call those places a "black hole" - I feel that way too; kind of a depressing atmosphere. I have also recently fallen quite hard for a girl and am struggling to get over her as we speak. I guess it's called oneitis. I've got it bad. So I think you a…
