What I find also hard as a man, is that we are valued for doing as opposed to women (and children) being valued for simply being. Then everything becomes kinda transactional and it's really hard to me. Am I being kept around because of what I do or because of who I am? Got the same issue... Not much of a "going-out" man and I travel a lot for work. Plus , work and hobbies are mostly 100% masculine so... Wading through tons of fake profiles, dead profiles, gold diggers, single moms, and 3/10s gets tiring fast. It's almost a job in itself. I'm better off uninstalling completely I think. I don't find myself to be unattractive , but this just kills my self-esteem . Better work on myself than swipe left forever and maybe get 1 fake match.

Well, I didn't want to follow my parents footsteps, with a master's in useless things that is absolutely worthless. I'm doing a rather hard job, started working at 19 - but that allows me to have hobbies and free time. And also since I have a bachelor's , I'm not stuck in the bottom-line jobs. Can't you try to get a lower-skilled job ? That may pay better.

I watched this film with my colleague and I still regret it. It's written by a woman that clearly has no idea of how things go for a man and that's shown in the film. Basically, a man ends up in an alternate reality where it's a "matriarchy" instead of a "patriarchy", men have to dress up in skimpy clothing, wax their bodies and dress pretty while being routinely catcalled and sexually assaulted. I think you get it wrong... We have a quota of days to work during the year. It's 215 days worked. So if I do 5 hours every day or 10 every day I get paid the same. But I get paid 20% more than someone that does 8-17 because of the flexibility of the work. It's more of an abuse from the company on the worker, than something gendered. It's more like suicide by train... Even with emergency braking, the train does not stop right away (obviously, tons of metal...) The train won't stop easily even if it's at 30-40 km/h.
