ACLU is garbage, basically interchangeable with several other "civil rights" orgs helping to destroy civilization by handing more power to the government as the way to solve the problems they invent.

An event that draws 1m viewers can make exponentially more ad revenue than one that only draws 50k.

Like the finals would include males and females. "Would" is gloriously optimistic. It would be a fun exercise to think which sports would have a chance of women in the finals. Darts? Bowling?

It's a shame, because I think McKinnon and Weig can be hilarious.

Serious question: why would you feel compelled to respond with an easily known piece of information? If you've ever been in a conversation about the success of this movie, this knowledge should have been there by now. What motivated you to respond at all? It was decent and also did extremely well financially. Leslie is just the one speaking out, every single person who had a part in that film, cast and crew feel exactly the same. Edit: it lost money, my bad. Needed to make 300 mil to break even …

When I lead with "devil's advocate", I'm arguing for a point of view I don't necessarily agree with. It lets me explore an opposing viewpoint from within, and often helps clarify the side I do take other than the obvious or popular arguments.

Unable to prove is not the same as able to disprove. Conviction for false accusation would require the same burden of proof as the rape.

As the blue-haired screechers are so fond of saying: free speech doesn't immunize you from its consequences. The woman's a menace, and isn't fit for society, much less being involved in education.

But if you were convinced there was a conspiracy to oppress you, you might get angry, especially if you thought you were more than qualified. These people are being manipulated by the tiny few with real power for their own ends.

Her whole schtick is the stereotypical sassy, streetwise black woman, so how is this role any different?
