The code of conduct violation the university is saying they are responsible for is the code against against sexually assault conduct. You seem to think the level of generality is higher for university adjudication, but it’s not. This is like saying when a court finds you guilty of arson, it merely finds you guilty of violating “criminal law.” What code of conduct do you imagine the university tribunal is finding the student “responsible” for violating? The whole student handbook?

Debate is still based on facts. Human minds can process auditory stimuli nearly as fast as visual stimuli. The speed reading in that video you linked to is actually a mechanism to further education and the use of evidence.
