You’ve never experienced it so it’s not true huh? Dumb comment. I’ve had this happen plenty of times. You probably don’t have the drinking problem that would make this understandable.

Interestingly, that wouldn’t hurt me at all. When somebody reveals themself as an awful person, the weight gets lifted off. I’m a good person and I’d never kick somebody when they’re down like she did you. That’s crazy. The truly awful people should be easy to confront. Just call them out. The worst rejections are when I know they’re into me and want me to make a move and I do something that just straight turns them off. When I know they want me to create a situation that we can get down to, and…

You’re just twisting the words. It isn’t that nothing itself matters. They don’t value the concept of nothing. It’s that there isn’t anything that matters.

Wow, your experience mirrors my own first trip very closely. You've even said some things that I had kind of forgotten about my trip. Started out great. We were outside and everything had kind of a fake quality to it. The trees and plants looked like the decorations on a disneyland ride. And they were all pulsing, breathing. It was cool. Then I saw a tree with red eyes, and the ground between me and the tree started pulling me toward it like a conveyor belt. I looked away, but it was too late. T…

It’s when I started getting stares from the teenage girls and children, some of them quite clearly pre-teens that it started to make me feel sick. I understand that I look like I could be in one-direction or something but I was not ready for this level of blackpilling. They can’t start this early can they? When I was that age all I cared about was yugioh. Wtf are they doing staring at me? This is wrong, very wrong. Often it would make me so uncomfortable I would get off and wait for the next tra…

Don’t be a hater. Certain girls will act this way because they constantly have guys trying to get at them and they put up a wall to weed out anyone who doesn’t go over a certain threshold of effort. It’s basic market forces and there’s nothing wrong or illogical with them doing that. If you understand this, you can put in the extra effort without putting her on a pedestal. Tease her about rejecting you, ignore it and ask again, or move on if she’s not worth it. The hottest girls will all have th…

I’ve had a friend get accused of rape too, but they actually had sex. The gym story just reeks of bullshit, especially with how the employee handled it.

It’s total bullshit. Elsewhere in this thread, OP talks about a friend who sat in jail for 2 months for the rape of a girl he never had sex with. He has also seen multiple guys get fired because a girl said he made them uncomfortable. OP is full of shit.

I see nothing wrong with what you did. It didn't come across as you defending a woman in an attempt to get in her pants, so it wasn't really white knighting. You saw a bully and called her out. If that social group laughs at you for that, fuck them.

I’m not saying hold him to a standard. I’m asking why you don’t hold her to a standard. A guy she used to fuck is repeatedly asking her to fuck again. Seems like she should be expected to either make it very clear to him to stop, and stop being in his company if he doesn’t, or shame him in the group until he does.

I disagree about PUA. Game is a skill just like any other that can be improved. Nobody says you should stop improving in other areas while you work on your game. I really like the way Mark Manson conceptualizes it. When you approach a woman, she will either be positive, neutral, or negative to your approach. All the improvement we talk about in TRP makes it more likely you will get positive responses. But when you get a neutral response (ignore negative responses, they’re a waste of time), game …

It depends where you are. When I was in rural middle America, probably 90% were fake accounts. Now I'm in Denver, I've only seen like 5 fake accounts total. They're pretty much all real. I think with so many people using it, the fake accounts get flagged as spam and removed a lot faster. Or maybe people in Denver aren't stupid enough to fall for it, so there's less incentive.

This idea is useless to the average lifter. The tests they did had the guys static stretching like a couple minutes before lifting heavy. Their performance suffered slightly at their max lifts. It's fine to stretch before working out. Very unlikely you'll see any negative effects unless you're getting to the point where you're competing and really need every little competitive advantage.

I think this is the very reason why some psychologists don't advocate people "visualising" their goals - because you get the dopamine hit, IE the payoff, without actually doing the work. Create systems, not goals.

I met a girl on tinder the other night. Had a drink, chatted, very non-sexual and it seemed to be going nowhere though we were having a nice conversation. We went to leave and I gave her a hug, then said, "I know you said you have work in the morning, but if you wanna keep the night going I'll be up for a while." She said yes. If a guy helps a girl move, he wants to fuck her. Period. Hands down. No exceptions. Not true. This sub treats interactions between the genders way too black and white. There are a lot of grey areas. There's a ham planet I work with who I would never hook up with, but I joke around with her and enjoy her company generally. I'd help her move if she asked. She'd also be the type to bring pizza and beer. I'd never help a woman who had a sense of entitlement. There are plenty of girls I've known ove…

Day 10: 6 hours 11 minutes. 3:05 - 9:16 I stayed up later than I should have, but I prepared all my food for the next day, then went to bed with my sleep tracker and set my alarm for 9:00 - 9:30 so I could get up and go to the gym. I actually woke up when the alarm went off and am now about to make breakfast. Most normal night of sleep so far this month. Edit: After writing this, I fell back asleep for about 4 more hours. Goddammit.

When you get married, is there any actual legal document you sign stating you will never fuck anyone else? I've never been married, so I don't really know, but I highly doubt it. I know there are pre-nups that can spell it out and in those cases there already are legal consequences, usually the forfeiture of assets. Cheating is not a breach of contract. It's simply a violation of a social norm. Not at all the same thing and not at all deserving of legal consequences.

I didn't say it was the right thing, I said it happens all the time. Guys, especially guys who are wannabe alphas, will see a woman cheating as an affront to their masculinity. Many will lash out at the other man. Yes, it makes them look even more pathetic. No, not all men are smart enough to realize that beforehand. I've personally witnessed it happen several times in my life.
/r/TheRedPill21/07/15 06:21 AM

Yes but a TRP man wouldn't blame Chad, he'd next the woman and go out and find another plate. What world do you live in? Are all the alpha males you know living in perfect zen? No, people get the shit kicked out of them all the time for fucking someone else's woman.

Basically don't make her the most important thing in your life, but she needs to feel a certain level of importance when she's around you. She wants to not be sure exactly where on the priority list she lies, but certain she's high enough. Edit: If she thinks she might be too high on the list, you get shit tests. If she thinks she might be too low, comfort tests.

You very likely have type-1 herpes. Is that a big deal? Do you warn people before kissing or sharing drinks of the risks due to you having it? If you don't know if you have it, go get tested. If herpes is a big deal, you have an obligation to find out.

Anyone here on their moral high ground, if you really don't want to be a hypocrite, go get tested for HSV-1 (spoiler alert: you probably have it). If you test positive, don't kiss anyone or share a drink without first warning them of the risks. If you're not willing to do that, shut the fuck up about HSV-2. HSV-1 is technically more dangerous (something about possible eye infections), but neither is a big deal medically. The social stigma is the worst part, so just avoid that by keeping it to yo…

The answer to your question is that it is in most jurisdictions a criminal offense and if/when they prove that you knew before hand, your name will be in the paper with some kind of sexual assault and fine. This is true with some STDs, but I don't think it is with herpes. Do you have a source saying different?
/r/TheRedPill08/07/15 06:16 AM

And you can get HSV-2 on the lips. All that shit is the same. The worst part is the social stigma. I see no reason to subject yourself to that.

Don't tell anyone you have it and carry on with your life. Seriously. Most people have HSV-1. Does anyone bother telling you that they have it (anyone who's gotten a cold sore knows they have it) before you kissed them or shared a drink? No, nor were they expected to even though it is also an incurable virus. Why is HSV-2 different? Simply because it is typically spread through sexual activity and shows up (usually) on your junk instead of your face. Personally, I'd rather have 2 because I can h…

So in days that you do not show progress, but instead, lack thereof, you will feel the depression of happiness, which is unnecessary. Therefore, it is happiness that is here and now in every moment within systems, not within a goal. If you're operating within the system you've set up, you are making progress toward a goal by definition.
/r/TheRedPill01/07/15 05:03 PM

I think the word goal has a much broader meaning to the majority of people that are going to read this idea of yours, and I still think that what you're really trying to argue against is a method for identifying goals. It seems you really are talking about explicitly stating (or even just thinking) a specific goal. But any purpose behind your actions has a goal attached, whether or not you've consciously thought of it with any specificity. Do you brush your teeth because you like the way the bri…

It makes sense. Frankly (and this might somewhat contradict what you said earlier about alcohol blocking oxytocin), I feel like I'm probably an alcoholic precisely because the closest bonding experiences I've felt were due to alcohol. Maybe alcohol suppressed the actual feeling, but it also lowered inhibitions and allowed friends to talk candidly instead of having all their defenses up. That's usually the experience I'm chasing when I drink.

Fair enough. Last question. Everybody I know alters their mind in some way when they get together. The vast majority drink alcohol. Some smoke weed. Regardless, it seems like there's something missing if we're not getting fucked up on something. As someone who doesn't partake, what do you and your friends do when you get together? I don't mean when you go out kayaking or something obvious, but when you get together in your home. Do you just talk in a sober state, play games, watch movies, etc.? …

This is how it was in the old days. Men were stoic and calm under pressure. Where is the evidence for this fairy tale? I keep hearing this around here. Seem like extreme examples. Moderate use (few times a month for weed, few times a year for something like MDMA) doesn't seem like a bad thing to me. Would you feel the same about use in that way, or would you see that as a slippery slope to using more often? ...increases your odds of survival. If it didn't, evolution would have discarded that emotion long ago. If there was no such advantage to loathing one-self, evolution would have gotten rid of it. Not really true. Evolution has no mechanism (that I know of) that discards things that are not useful. Only things that are an impediment to your survival or ability to pro-create will be weeded out. There are plenty of useless things that keep getting passed on because there's nothing stopping them. Th…

Agreed. There was a time when dread game wasn't a thing. It didn't have to be. It was just how the world worked. Men didn't make time for shitty companions. Is this even true? I have to imagine that just like today, the majority of men were easily manipulated by attractive women. Maybe it's because betas don't inspire the stories we hear about that we aren't aware of how prevalent they were back then.

I don't feel morally wrong fucking someone in a relationship, but I do find cheaters unattractive. I won't fuck a married woman because I actually find women who cheat on their husbands repulsive as people. A boyfriend is less of a commitment, so while I still find it somewhat unattractive, it's not a deal breaker. I would never be exclusive with a cheater obviously.

It's not censorship. Censorship is specifically an act done by somebody in an official capacity, which generally carries the threat of violence behind it. This is protest. It's annoying to us as they are suppressing an opinion we want heard, but it is not censorship.

Sorry guys. The brunette is right here and honestly she's sharp as fuck. Janice had to revert to emotional arguments at one point (how would you feel if students did that to you?) Freedom of speech is about freedom from the government (or anyone else) violently suppressing your right to say something. It is not about the right to be free from people shouting over what you're saying and making it impossible for you to talk. The real question here is what is the space they were using considered as…

i don't respect an industry that tries to extort me for extra cash using guilt. Yet you continue to patronize that industry knowing full-well the terms involved and you're taking advantage of the lowest tier just to benefit yourself. If I have no respect for an industry that I feel is trying to extort me, I don't patronize that industry.

This is a very ignorant opinion. I'm not going to endorse and participate in a corrupt food service industry by enabling their abuse of their workers. Yet, you are participating by dining there in the first place, supporting the restaurant with your money, then making it even harder on the servers by not paying them. It's not charity, you're paying them for their service. You're basically stealing service from them because you can legally do so. If you don't want to pay for the service, don't ta…

Obviously customs are different in different countries. In China, you're not expected to ever tip and it's borderline rude to do so. I don't know about Turkey, but the article was written in the US. In the US, don't go somewhere that provides service if you can't afford to tip for that service.

Also, Joe Rogan's podcast is pretty good. The dude is very red pill in personality, though not in some of his philosophical stances. He has very intelligent people on his podcast though and he often is good at asking the right questions. I imagine most people on this sub are already familiar with him though.

I never tip, never ever. I am a student and working a part-time job and it's tough already. Money isn't earned easily. If you can't afford to tip, that mean you can't afford to go to places that are offering you service. Make your own food and serve yourself. In many states, there a different minimum wage for tipped positions and they're only getting like $2.50 an hour which all gets taken for taxes. Tips are their only source of income. Don't be a cheap asshole.

Alpha males are not necessarily what is good for the human race. Just because it works on the sexual market does not mean it is what we should strive for if human progression is our goal.

But they don't have those options, and so they hamsterize their inertia as loyalty. Stated perfectly. This is one of the things that really turns me off to this community. I really like the push for recognizing reality and not hamstering, but there's a lot of hamstering still going on regarding this issue. It's probably because the majority of the men reading and contributing here are not actually redpill. This is a place for blue pill men to gather and discuss what they've recently learned. Man…

I completely disagree. Reading a book will make your experience out there accelerated. Imagine telling someone not to study a math text book and instead just figure out the problems on their own because the experience is what will generate more progress. No, they need to study what others have already experienced, then go out and practice it. Of course, nothing wrong with going out immediately. Just don't downplay the benefit of reading someone else's insight who has done a ton of research.

I've never tried that and honestly I think that would save me a lot of... social maneuvering I guess I'll call it. I usually figure it's good to make friends, so I'm always down. I've never once completely avoided a plate's circle of friends. How does that usually go down? Do you eventually have to explicitly say I never want to meet your friends, or do you just avoid and they never get too pushy?

One of my plates went on instagram and found pics on another girl's profile with me in them. She made comments about how she loves my smile and all this shit. It made it really awkward between me and my other plate. This was someone I had explicitly told I was seeing other people. She then says that she can't believe I actually was and starts talking all sorts of shit. I told her she shouldn't get in relationships she can't handle. She later apologized and we're now friends, but I refuse to fuck…

I don't understand why this was posted. Sure, she had kind of a shitty viewpoint. However, she seemed to get some pretty solid answers in the comments about how it's ok for the guys to only be interested in a gf if they already have enough friends in their life. Seems like you'd only want to post something here if an entire thread was full of shitty opinions, not just the OP.
