Sure! It’s very different to get hit on by someone you know and someone you doesn’t. Once people know each other, feelings can come up. Being hit on by a total stranger gives one more the impression of being lusted after.

Isn’t the main difference that the first two people knew each other/were in the same team? In this case the use of teams isn’t great, but in the second scenario, it’s much weirder to reach out to someone you’ve never even had a conversation with.

What it said is: when molesters are arrested, molesters with female victims usually already have made 1.3 female victims. Molesters with male victims already have made 4.4 female victims. It doesn’t really speak to the number of victims in total, but rather to the point at which molesters are arrested in their « career », so to speak.

That’s not what is said in the page you cited. It said that sex offenders with previous victims usually had 1.3 female victims and 4.4 male victims. This would point to sexual molestation of male children being less reported/less taken seriously, so that the pedophiles remain free longer.

Because current feminism is the result of hundreds of years of intense PR. It wasn’t always that way and certainly wasn’t all that long ago. Men’s rights could do the same.

I didn't write the original post and wouldn't have formulated it as such. However, I do find that roll back extremely concerning on its own. During the #MeToo wave, I can understand going with the flow and strengthening Title IX power in universities. But over the years they have been a number of cases showing how damaging this has been to many young men. As far as I am concerned, even one young man is enough. The Trump regulation was extremely reasonable and shouldn't have been rolled back at a…

He already announced that he wanted to roll back the new Title IX rule which reinstated a due process for students accused of sexual misconduct: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/biden-wants-scrap-betsy-devos-rules-sexual-assault-schools-it-n1247472. It's no paranoia, it's called being informed.

Ah yes, that makes a lot of sense. They also tend to minimize the damage those policies really do to men.

Ah OK, I see what you mean, I think I just got stuck on the terminology. You mean SJW types, or generally more left leaning?

Agreed, the Marxist class struggle analysis is very damaging when applied to gender relations. I’m not sure I would say social democracy is specifically set against working class men. Can you elaborate on that?

100% agree with you as a fellow woman. It is generally imo the biggest flaw of feminism: its widespread misandry or at the very least contempt for men and their struggles. They don’t realize that if you reject someone for their identity, they only will hold on to it stronger...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
